How much I miss him already. It amazes me to think about many lives he's lived in just one. I can remember first seeing him in our guest house and thinking "this is not good for Quincy...I don't know if we should have another dog..." but the moment I saw his eyes, and heard his story, my heart melted. From that moment on, I was in love. Every chance I had to get close to him, I would try to make certain he fully realized the love that was now there for him, that his days of neglect, malnutrition, cold and loneliness were over...that from here until the end, he would be treated with the love, respect and appreciation he deserved. I can say with confidence that Champ was a very happy dog, and that he truly enjoyed his time with us. (I swear he used to smile at me...)
And as for the story of his life, no words better suit him than the one given to him. He was the Champ.
