Looking forward to seeing you on FOX and also at the Irvine Improv.
We got our Boxer from you in the LA Area after our Pit Bull (doggie 1) died (August 2001). His name is Doggie (2) He is very lovable sleeps on the bed with us and has bonded with the whole family including Bengi our other Boxer. It took awhile for the two Boxers to be comfortable with each other but now they are like brothers. They both have extremely different personalities . They are now our family. Boxer Rescue has made it possible for Doggie to have a loving family and for the family to have a loving Boxer thanks Sherman & Kay Smith
good luck and hope we can help out in the future
I BELIEVE SUNBEAM IS MY OLD DOG. LOST IN DEC 17 2000 I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO PLEASE CALL ME NOW.
Am looking for a young, fawn puppy...preferably a female with unclipped ears. Have raised boxers as a child in the East .
I hope my adoption application goes through because i really love dogs especially boxer breeds.
This is a good site, I like it. I have a boxer, but i would like to know why she aways bark at my wife?? She wont bark at me or my daugthers.. Please confirm me back to my e-mail and let me know what sould be wrong..And what should i do?? Thank you.
Hello i had a bad experience? And i think i learn a lesson, The story was i bot a beutiful brindle boxer on january 12,2002. She was born on december 12,2001. Me and my daugthers name her candy. She was sure like candy because she was a sweet boxer. So what heppen we had her for about 5 months, but my wife was getting up set because she was doing to much pupu in the garage. So she started to fite with me because off candy pupu, so she told me, to give her away. I told her that i couldnt do that because i love candy so much after 5 months off raicing her. So everytime i would come home from work she argue with me to give her away? and i told her what about our dougthers they are going to get sad. So i got mad at her and gave candy up? To one off my neighboors friends. So that nigth when i gave candy up my wife was at work but, i didnt tell her i gave her up? when she came home from work she didnt find candy at home. My god my wife walk in to my bed room screming and crying and i ask her what happen to you why are you crying, did something happen to you at work? She told me no. She ask me where is candy? I told her i gave her up? My god, my wife cried more than a baby would cried. She tells me, i didnt mean to give her up. I was just mad because she pupu to much but i love her.. And i told her to late. know to get candy back? So she beg me so much to contact my neihbor, and ask back for candy. That was the next day? So i ask my neighbor to give me back candy, because my wife didnt meant me to give candy away. So my naihbor told me that he contact the person that had candy and told him that he was going to think about giving me candy back. I told him to tell his friend that iam so sorry. Because i now realise that we gave away the best dog in the world? I was so sad. And the person who had candy, told me that he was going to bring her back? almost 2 month past and i stood whaiting for candy, and he never gave me candy? so i contact my neighboor and ask him if he knew anything about his friend that had candy? He told me that the person that had candy couldnt bring candy back to my home because he left to U.S.A to take a training for his Job? And he was coming back in 1 week. So i whaited for him to come back to give me candy back. So the 1 week came and the guy that had candy had arrive back from training. But my neihboor came with bad news about candy? So my heart broke.. My neighbor told me i have big bad news? He told me, Angel iam so sorry, the guy who had candy left candy with the guys mother house. And then candy ran away? I got so sad and heart broken???? I was so upset, because after i whaited almost 2 month for candy he tells me she ran away??? So i made my own investigation and ask him where did she get lost. He told me in Jardine Appartments. So i whent to Jardine appartments and made a search by search in all the appartsment into i found out where the guy mother live. And i ask her if her son have left for a training, and left her a boxer to take care off into he would arrive, and she told me, my son never left for a training, and never gave me a boxer to take care. that was all lie he told me. So thanks to his lies led me to the trough. Wow small world?? So i explane the story to his mom, about him tricking me and my douthers about giving candy back to me. That he never did? So she call him up, and told him that he should give me back candy. Because she knew that i was suffering for candy very bad.. So the guy that had candy show up to my home and gave me back the only animal in the world that we trully love candy... After that the guy left my home and i felt so bad because i knew he was suffering to? I started to cry for that person because i felt his fellings to. I think my wife learn a big lesson never give what you have?? Candy is my best friend and i would never again give her uppp. Boxers are trully nice dogs and they feel what you feel? I want to thank you edgardo for bringing back my candy, And i forgive you for laying to me. Trully from my heart Angel and god bless you...

I was contacted yesterday and not real pleased with the person who called me. I did not call for a lecture on my dog. I have raised boxers for 20 years! I am disabeled, now totally and I am unable to continue living in my home of 23 yrs. and have had to sell it and move into a trailor. I have a large yard where Mr. B loves to run figure eights and such. He is a good dog and gets along with other dogs. My brohter and his wife moved in to help me and broght their Dalmation and they were friends after about 5 min.! Mr. B is a brindle without ears or tail cropped. He comes in the house many times however is not totally house broken. I got him from the pound 2 yrs. ago at 7-8 months and had not bewen trained. He is doing better but not good. Has always loved it outdoors and has several hideing ploaaces and shade from the sun. His favoriate sleeping place along with a dog house. He is due for his shot-updates this months. He is healthy and no sign of cancer. Just LOVES TO PLAY. His command for down is "back" of Off instead of the normal. He sits and is very gentle and of course loves to KISS YOU. I cannot take him with me as I am moveing into a much smaller trailor for my own safety. My husband deceased and this house has stairs and is much to large and i no longer able to take care of it. Kitchen is to large for me to even try to cook for myself or I am down for 2 days. He need a good family, possible with kids and a large yard to run in as he has here. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME! i WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SUBMIT A DONATION FOR YOUR KINDNESS. SINCERELY audree@attbi.com or 562-923-1451
I was so upset by some of the In Memory stories that I cried. It breaks my heart to see beautiful animals treated so badly. As a boxer owner I feel very close to each story. I hope many more people love and adopt boxers young and old !! My boxers and Mastiffs are my life, they can be wonderful friends and can make you smile when your feeling your worse !I wish love and happiness to ever boxer in the rescue. Good luck and great work!!
I love Boxers and have had many.
I have Adopted a male that is 14 months old. He is a pure bred Boxer. I am totally disabled and the better half and I "Love him to death". The trouble is we would like to get another Female so he would have someone to play with. He is very well behaved and he sleeps beside our bed in his bed. We have a 1/2 acre for him to run and play on. We are looking for, who we would call "MISTY LYNN", she must be house broke, and love to ride in the car or pick up . Do you have our little girl? The last problem is I am on a fixed income so money is very tight. Is there any help you could or would be willing to help us with? Thank you in advance TED & NINA PS. Please write back soon We sure do not want to see any of these Babies put down if there is a way to save at least one.
i love you loads from jake my white boxer dogs.
hiya, my name is amy and rebecca and i have a wonderful dog calledjake and he is a white boxer dog and skye is a miniuture schnouzer and she is salt and pepper coulered and they are both wonderful playmates.we would love to adopt a other white boxer dog but it would be to much for jake to handle because it would be really playful and jake is only a little bit playful.skye is very playful when she wants to be but is quite naughty sometimes.lots of love rebecca am jake and skye.
Thanks for giving us females a good song to tell our niggaz what they can do for us
I think its wonderful that you have a way of saving these terrific animals.
I rescued my white boxer out of a shelter one year ago. I instantly fell in love with Chynna. She has become a forever part of our family. I would love to help other boxers in need. Although I would love to adopt another boxer, I may be of better help if I were to foster boxers on there way to better, forever homes.
We have a beautiful Brindle Boxer named Hercules William....he is 5 yrs old and we are wondering what the average age life expectancy is. Please e-mail us back...thanks!!!!
we'll love to adopt a young boxer,we read about them and they are just adorable. sincerely. the Bustamante's family
Can I help in placing these beautiful dogs?
Awesome website! It's so true about what you wrote about this breed, and how they make the best out of life.
We enjoy looking at your website and at all the beautiful Boxers! Could there be one that would pick our family???
I've rescued 3 boxers over the last 5 years Work full time but would like to help. I'm interested in possibly volunteering time or services. Please feel free to e-mail me at the address listed. Sincerely, Michelle Buck
Hi: I came across your site while surfing for Boxer sites. Your work and commitment to this breed is to be commended. I must tell you a quick story: After looseing a beloved pet last year to cancer, I went to my local shelter to donate the food I had left over. I felt something staring at me, when I turned around it was a pure breed Boxer, the most handsome creature I had ever seen. Needless to say he is sitting next to me as I write this letter, I can not express the love and joy he has given me. I can only hope he will understand the love I have for him, I tell him everyday tht I love him, he simply kisses me. I would urge anyone considering this breed to check their local shelters or sites such as this one, you can truly find your treasure waiting here !!! Sincerely, Debbie-Ceasar's Mom
New boxer owner, I recently was given a 24 month old female boxer. Her name is TASHA and she is beautiful. As we learn about each other, I found your web site very helpful. THANK YOU!
Too bad there is a need for a website like this. Thank you for fulfilling a need for our furry friends.
Wonderful site. We are enjoying our first boxer, Dixie, and she has stolen our hearts!
I love boxer dogs, and I am looking into owning one in the near future. I don't know if I should get a female or male. I don't want a boxer that is extremely large, preferably on the runt size, if possible. I also don't have a large backyard, will that be ok? I am in school and work, but I know I will make time for my dog. How much time is too little? I really enjoyed reading your stories, Thank you! Amy Worth

I have some health questions about my boxers, can someone out there give some advice???
Great page ! I am looking to adopt, I would like a mellow female. We have a dog run but I plan to keep her inside. I have two cats. Let me know if you find anything that meets my needs
we've just lost our three year old Nikita to kidney failure she was the sweetest boxer we've ever owned. she was our fifth. I wrote down the name of this organization when she was just a puppy. We're looking for our sixth boxer and thought this would be a great place to start looking. Someone needs a home and we need a new baby.
I wish I lived closer to your facility because I see you definitely need foster homes. I've contacted a couple of local San Diego Boxer rescues, but haven't been needed yet. Just wanted you to know that your website is set up VERY well and is easy to find. Your rescue/placement organization is exceptional. Good job.
i recently (1 week ago) rescued a dog from the wla animal shelter. He is 3 yrs. old and look identical to big kahuna on you web site. the pound sowed him as a staffordshire terrier (pit bull) but after seeing kahunna's picture and the description of theboxer's behaviour - I am sure 'big dog' is a boxer. any way i can confirm by sending a picture?

I used to own a mother and her son boxers. Absolutely loved them. Looking for another either male or female light brendle or a fawn. Can you help me find him or her. Thanks charlie
Thanks to your heat tips I can now help my Boxer keep cool on hot days.
Just to let you know that Honey Bear ( aka Dove ) is doing great. She has put on weight, the worn places on her elbows are filling in with hair, she seems to be over the fear of a garden hose, and she "smiles" at us. We have had her about 3 months now. Don and Penny
It was wonderful to see you all at the Pet Expo! Sorry I did not meet the infamous Ursula! Would have loved to hug her for the works she does. I am proudly wearing my shirt today! Thanks again. . Crunch's mom
Our beloved Sheila, a true member of our family for over 12-1/2 years, died this week and in my grief I was searching on line regarding Boxers and came upon your website. However, on the east coast of the country, and not in LA, I was wondering if someone could direct me towards a South Florida Boxer Rescue. After 5 years of being a "puppy", jumping, running, barking, chasing cats, licking, kissing, Sheila "mellowed" out to a wonderful companion and I would only look towards adopting another Boxer as I believe they are the best pets in the world. Their love is unconditional and you want only to love them in return....Mary
WHATS UP

I'm the one who adopted Duke. His name is now Lucion. He is doing great and my kids love him. Every morning he wakes-up my daughter by jumping on her bed and starts kissing her. He is a great dog thank you very much.

What a great site, Elayne. Keep up the good work!
On the fourth of July I lost my best friend, my little chihuahua, she got scared from all of the fire works and ran off, I spent all night looking for her and days after that, I had no luck!! I've had the worst luck with animals, every time I get attached to them they either die or run away. On Friday I came home from work and my friend suprised me with a six week old brindle boxer, I was afraid to touch him at first, but when I held him and looked in his sad puppy dog eyes, I fell in love. I named him Zues, It took me two days to come up with a name, I wanted something that had meaning and sounded strong.
Excellent website! My wife and I are blessed with 3 boxers and love them. We don't have or want kids so they are are surely our children. It's sad to hear the situations some of these Boxers are rescued out of. It makes me sick to think someone could mistreat or neglect a Boxer or any pet for that matter. Keep up the good work. My wife and I are putting your org. on our donation list. Thanks for your love of the breed, John and Kara Breuer
I would like to know how to talk to somebody about the procedures on picking up an abused (starved) boxer. this is a neighbors dog. do you keep your information confadential??? at the very least send me a phone #.
I tried sending you the apllication for adoption but it did not go through. Website address unable to locate. I am interested in adopting a female Boxer.
We really enjoyed your site and learned many interesting facts about the Boxer! Sincerely, Chris and Leyla
We couldn't agree more with your description of the breed. We have been loyal boxer owners for the past six years, and we have enjoyed every minute of it so far. It is nice to come home after a hard day at work, and have our 2 girls (boxers) show us how much they missed us, and how much we mean to them. They are truly a very special part of our family. We have recently had another boxer added to our family, thanks to a careless driver who left him on the side of the road to die. We have taken him in and he is well on his way to recovery. He still moves rather slow, and is very sore from the accident, but our girls have taken him right in, and treat him like one of the family. They can sense his pain, and our youngest boxer is always looking out for him. She turns around to wait on him 2 or 3 times when everyone is getting ready to go outside.
I have been owned by 5 different, wonderful boxers. Due to a recent termination of a long-term relationship, I gave custody of our three boxers to my ex. I love them dearly, but knew they would be better off with her. She has a large yard and had become as fond of boxers as I am. She had never had dogs and due to my insistence we got out first boy and four years latter two beautiful girls from the same breeder. I knew she would be a good mother to them and as painful as it was to let them go, i knew it was the best for them. I currently live in a small duplex without a yard, so I am boxer-less. There are several in my neighborhood and I always stop to ask their owners if I can get some boxer love. I know it is difficult for people who have not been touched by these wonderful four legged people to understand the depth of affection we have for them. I hope to be able to volunteer some time to help.
PLEASE HELP ME SEEK A FAMILY PUPPY. IT WILL BE LOVED AND CARED FOR.. THANK YOU

I thank you for you info. it help me decide on which dog is best for me. :)
I own a one year old fawn. She has been a great dog so far. Lately we have been leaving her out of her crate for short periods of time. Until she started eating our couch. she has never showed this kind of behavior. What can we do to overcome this problem? thanks in advance Sebastian Romeoville, IL
I love my white Boxer. Her name is Princess. She is 10yrs. old. Born 10/12/92. She is my third child. I think Boxers are very good with children. They are very loyal companions.
Ursala can you help us find murphy a friend
Just wonder how Lady is doing? Thank You.
I have two wonderful boxers, or should I say two wonderful boxers have me! My eldest Snatcher (daddy' girl) is a 10yr old female brindle, who is oh so preculiar and set in her ways. She is now having a hard time hearing, seeing and has a bad case of arthritis but she doesn't let any of that stop her she just keeps on going. Then there is Wrinkles; a 1 1/2 yr old fawn female that only a mother could love because everyone else was nearly ready to kill her for the first 1yr of her life. We sometimes call her our Six million dollar dog and with very good reason. Some day when you have a few hours give me a call and I could tell you a few horror stories that woould have you in tears of joy and sadness over her. Lets just say she has come a long way and is actually liked and in some cases even loved by some of the neighbors now. Well thanks for listening to me rattle. Missy
I'm owned by a 1 yr old flashy fawn boxer named Rocky. This is our first but definately not our last boxer. This dog has brought us more laughs and good times in the 8 months he has been with us than any other person or pet we have had.
I RESCUED THE BEST DOG/FRIEND I HAVE EVER HAD 7 YEARS AGO. HE WAS TAKEN FROM ME AND 5 YEARS LATER I STILL AM UPSET ABOUT IT. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET ANOTHER BOXER LIKE MY GAWEDO. I'VE HAD A FEW DOGS IN MY LIFE AFTER HIM. BUT NOT A BOXER. I WANT HIM TO STAY IN THE HOUSE WITH ME AN MY HUSBAN AN TO BOYS. MY HUSBAN SAID HE WILL GET ME A BOXER SOON. I was at the carson shelter on august third when we saw a boxer puppy and was told to return today august tenth to see if she was available only to find out some boxer rescue had adopted her and they would not give me the address or phone number for that rescue. I'm really upset because if they were contacting a rescue why did they put me through all this? Any how we are trying to find a young female boxer for my son and to be our family dog. We have a female basenji mix who is 5 years old so any puppy we were to get needs to gat along with her and our cat. Please help if you can. And what is the price on your adoptions?
I love your site!
I just want to say that this is a great thing that you are doing. I want to adopt and help give a boxer a good home and a happy life. thank you for goving me a chance to do that. Thank Jessica Gribbon
I would love to help.
Have gotten 2 boxers from you. Both were excellant. The old guy Sam, made it to America's Funniest Home Videos. We now have boxer #4. He adopted us. His name is Houdie (short for Houdini). He might be needing a playmate soon. I'll get back to ya on that.
I might be bringing my boxer Max to LA, he's a TN boxer, and I hopefully will be able to keep him, if not...I'd like to be able to find him a home there. Mark
I have two dogs myself, they are bull mastiff rottweilers cross with great dane. I love big dogs and especially think boxers are also beatiful dogs, but I like any large dogs. Because I previously had a rottweiler. It is a great thing you are doing for these and I hope with many generous donations you can continue to help the dogs.
My pet passed last November. My daughter is the proud parent of a boxer (Handsome Ransom) and as his grandmother I got to sit for him many times and absolutely love him. Do you think a 59 year old - with some health problems that may prevent going for walks - would be a good parent for a boxer?
We have one purebred boxer and two boxer mixes in our no-kill shelter at the present time. We can provide photos and bios if you think it would be beneficial to their finding homes. Please let us know. Crystal Nunes, Shelter Manager P.S. You have a great website.
Hello Boxer lovers, I'm a 29 year old Military man currently stationed in Hawaii with my wife and 2 children. I have a deep love for Boxers and I have always had one until now. While growing up, my family rescued a few Boxers from Ursula (spelling?) in CA and they were the high point of my upbringing. I am looking at returning to CA next year and would love to come by and see the Boxers available for adoption.
I sent you an email today
we love dogs
I have just spend the last hour going through all of your wonderful success stories. My husband and I have 3 boxers whom are the light of our lives. If I can ever do anything for you on this end, please let me know. God Bless You!! Peggy Brandon
I am a volunteer member of Florida Boxer Rescue, working applications for adoptions. I heard you were a great rescue organization and wanted to visit your website. Thank you for the work you do for so many dogs.
Hi. I have one female boxer called Sharon. She is a prety lady. I'd like to congratulate all of you for your job. Escuse my poor English. Janio Gama , from Foz do Iguaçu-Brasil.
I wanna adapt a boxer from you can you
My husband and myself have a 8 month old male boxer named Moe. We love him to death! He's our joy. Moe is very intergettic, but very loving and well behaved. He loves to play with children, any dog who thinks they can match his energy level and are up to the challenge. Moe tries to play with our kitty cat (who does pretty good with tolerating him) but we discourage that. Moe is our first experience with the boxer breed and we have loved every minute. Ok, maybe not the potty training stage and getting up multiple times in the night at the begining...but I would get another in a heartbeat if I could. Seeing all these adorable boxers on your site makes my heart ache. I feel that if people would do a little research, as we did, before getting a boxer they would have an idea of what they were in for. Moe is like our child, his bed is next to ours, he has a full toybox, and gets and needs lots of attention. Moe had lots of vet visits in the begining because his mother passed along a microscopic mite, causing his hair to fall out in patches. I wouldn't trade him for the world though! He's worth it all! If only a little research and education was instilled in a potential adopter of a boxer, I believe we'd see many less ending up in a rescue. I wish I had a place for each of the dogs that ended up abandoned, or given up! I hope they all find a kind, loving home they each deserve! Continue with the great effort your agency and all other rescue agencies put forth! Sincerely, Tara
Looking for "pet" for my brother and his family. They have two children, 3yr boy and 8yr girl. Mom is a full time homemaker and will be there all the time. There are no pets at this home...YET! Can you help me find the Boxer that will complete there family. Thank you, Wendy Johnston
I am in hope of finding a friend for life. My baby girl boxer at the age of 7 died of Kidney failure on 8/17/02. I
Loved your site.
I turned my best friend, Corky over to you not to long ago and would like to know if she is ok.Also forgive my error on her age, I said she was 4 1/2 yrs. old. I found an old License receipt that says she is 5 1/2 yrs, old.If there is bad news please keep it to yourselves, but if something good has happened with Corky please share with me. I've had too many family tragidies in the past 3 mos, so some good news would be a godsend...Thank You All so Much, Dina McKibben

Hi, We adopted a Boxer mix from our local Boxer Shelter. She has been such a wonderful pet for our son. Her personality is more of a overgrown puppy who loves to give kisses and the need to be touched. Boxers are one of a kind and I won't mind, one day adopting one more.
