just wanted to say that a rescue boxer is as if not more loving than any store bought pup...I rescued an 8 month old boxer from a shelter where I help out. Hooch, (then called Coko)was going to be put to sleep as when he tried to play with the family cat, the cat would show her claws, they had him no more than a month, the vet to who he had been left knew the woman who runs Paws awhile Kennel, run by DAWS and not wanting to put the pup to sleep called the shelter. That was where I found him and within a week he was in our home, and our hearts. He gets on well with my siblings who are 9 and 13, Im 16, and our other dog who is blind and going deaf also has took to him. Hes still a baby at 10 months old and full of mischeif but i wouldnt change him for the world. Please if your looking for a boxer or any dog, check the rescue centers first, they al need good homes.
I'm affiliated with Partners in Boxer Rescue (Maryland) and LOVE your web site! Lotsa good information and great stories! Boxers are terrific dogs... Butt wiggles and slurps from Sophie (4 yr old fawn, n, cropped and docked Boxer girl), Kisses from Lucy (15 mos, n, docked, natural eared, red Dobie girl.
Looking forward to adopting a wonderful Boxer to be our friend, companion and new love of our family.
Hi, I am very impressed with this web-site. I myself have two boxers that are like my children. They basically rule the house, therefore they are spoiled and get anything they want. I would not know what to do without seeing their happy faces and their little wagging tails. Their names are Bailey and Sid. Bailey is still a puppy, shes almost 9 months old and Sid is know a year old. I love them to death and want to have a whole family of boxers. Here soon we are going to breed them and I was wondering if you guys here at this website have any important information that I would need to know before taking the effort to try to breed them. If you do, Please send it to my email listed above. Thanks, Lisa Mozeley
Like your site it's great,We own two Boxers they are beautiful Dogs.I'll come back to visit again.
You guys are doing awesome things! I love your site, and I hope to adopt a Boxer in need very shortly!
Hi to everyone at the boxer rescue, Its been two years sense we got freckles from all of you. He is doing great! He loves running in "HIS" backyard and having his own bed in just about every room in the house. What can I say ,we love him so very much. He is our baby boy. Freckles is the first male dog I have ever had. At first I was not SURE about having a boy because all I ever had were girl boxers. But after my little copper girl pasted away(she was 12),our other little girl Iszee(11 yrs old) got very sad and lonely so we found some other boxers at the pound. But she did not like having another girl in the house. She was lonely but was not going to put up with another female in her home. Thanks to Urseala, she found homes for all the other girls. We had seen freckles at the rescue never knowing that the sweet boy was going to change our lives. We agreed to foster care him. I was worried aboutIszee liking him. They had a coulpe little head buttings but Iszee was not at her best. She had cancer and one day they got into a fight and Iszee got so upset she went into seizers. After that Freckles became her best friend. He would wait at the door of the bedroom just so he could walk her outside everyday. They shared the same beds and had a relasonship that I never thought dogs would have. He really made me change my mind about having a male dog. He of course can never take the place of Copper & Iszee. But I have found out that I have alot of places in my heart. I'am just lucky that Freckles was the one to show me what a great boy he is,and that getting a boy is just as good!Puppies are great but adopting a older dog was the best thing under the sun. YOU GET WHAT YOU SEE.Thanks because Freckles(now 5 yrs old)is the joy in our life. Thank you so very much. The Parsons
Hi, I just discovered this web site. I think it's GREAT!! I have a question... how do you stop a boxer from jumping fences? As long as we're around, even if we are in the house and he is out, he never jumps. I love him sooooo much, I can't bear the thought of him getting hurt. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
My Boxer has added more to my life than I thought possible. Adopting a boxer gives you a loyal friend for life. I can't wait until I have room for another one.
ANYONE WHO OWNS A BOXER IS A VERY LUCKY PERSON. I WOULD BE LOST WITHOUT MY LITTLE MISS DAISY DOODLE. ALTHOUGH I DID IT SELFISHLY AND PICKED HER OUT FROM A BREEDER ANY BOXER YOU COME IN CONTACT WITH DESERVES A VERY LOVING HOME. THERES NOTHING TO END A DAY LIKE A BIG WET KISS FROM YOUR DOG THEN FROM YOUR HUSBAND. HA HA
YAY!!! We did it! My boyfriend and I just rescued our first Boxer! And I must say that I am completely in love with her! She is a beautiful White Boxer with little Fawn spots (and one Brindle spot on her left ear). She is the happiest most friendly dog and where ever we go we always get complements on her. Isn't it funny how when you get a complement on your dog you take it as if you had something to do with it? ;) All I have to say is thank you to all the staff and volunteers and Boxer Rescue fo doing such wonderful things for Mans' BESTEST Friends! And I pray that you will have great things come to you because of it! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
I just had to let you know that this has been the most inspirational webpage I've been to yet, regarding dog rescue. Thanks for your contribution to the doggy kingdom! :)
I have been looking for months for a pet to adopt, waiting until the time is right and the dog will be in a safe healthy environment. My boyfriend raised boxers as a kid and we have decided this is the type of dog we want. Your web site has been very informative and I love reading the happy endings.
