I know I am far away from your placement program, and I am not presently looking for another dog, I just wanted to let you know what kind of a wonderful job you are doing and how happy I am to see the dogs going to good homes.

I too have rescued a dog, but not a Boxer. He is a wonderful American Pit/American Staff with a wild energy. He has brought great joy to our home.

Please accept this as a thank you for your efforts from the rescueies (?) from where I live.

Sincerely

Theresa Miller

Please provide us with information on a local boxer rescue. We are very interested in adopting a boxer. We are looking for a puppy 6months or younger. We are looking for a female that is friendly with other animals and will be good with children. Please e-mail us if you can provide us with more information on where we can find the puppy that we are looking for.

thanks

We have just come back from the vets. We just put Danny to sleep, he was very ill with cancer. I've never been to your web page and I don't imagine we will be able to think about another dog for a long while but it your adoption updates comforted me. Danny was 11 years old. Our daughter picked him out when she was 11 1/2. He has been the best dog anyone could have asked for. It is reassuring to hear that so many other people think their Boxer is the best too. Thank-you for this site. Vicki

We have just lost a wonderful dog a couple of days ago and just to look through your web site and read your impressions of being a boxer owner has brought me some comfort. Tyson was almost 11 and was a wonderful companion, first to my husband and then to myself and most recently to our 9 month old daughter. They are a wonderful breed and we feel like we have lost a son. There is so much around that still reminds us of him. Hopefully once we have gotten over our grieving and when Grace is a litle older we will share in that wonderful experience again. I think the hardest thing in all of this was being his friend until the end and doing what was best for him. His mind was willing but his body wasn't any longer. He will always have a special place in our hearts and we know there will never be another Tyson...just around the corner will be another bundle of mischief who will melt our hearts once again.

I have been deeply touched by the stories of the Boxers and Your Rescuers that I have read on your site. You all deserve alot of credit for the love and selfless devotion you unconditionally give to these wounderful animals. I am considering becoming a boxer owner and after visiting your site I understand that its not a decision that should be taken lightly. My concerns are that I wish to have a dog that will be comfortable living inside our 1100 sq. ft. home with my Wife & I and our 3 children, ages 1,5, & 7. We have an Alaskan Malamute that remains outdoors in our backyard. He is a good dog that gets along well with other dogs & my family but is too big & out of place when brought indoors. My desire is to have a dog that can be comfortable inside our home providing & recieving companionship & love from my family & I but be housebroken and able to spend time outdoors as well. I'm impressed and intrigued by what I've read and learned about boxers but my question still remains: would a boxer be the right choice for my family and I, and would we be able to give one the quality of life he or she deserves? I encourage you to respond to my message and feel free to offer suggestions or comments regarding my cocerns. if a boxer is the right choice for us I would be interested in finding out how an adoption works and what steps are involved. Also, where the dogs can be seen and visited with.

Thank you for your time and God bless you all for doing so much for those very special friends.

My husband has expressed his interest in having a boxer. I thought I might surprise him for his birthday with one. I got your email address from the Donny and Marie show and have been looking through the pictures for some time. We had a dog some time ago, but gave him to some friends when we were working on our house and yard. We are now to the point of having a dog again. He will be taken to obedience training and worked with because I feel you need to spend time with a dog and have one that will be obedient in listening and not jumping up all over people when they come to visit.

This is a wonderful thing you are doing for a wonderful breed of dog. I've owned boxers in the past and would love to own another one, but at this time in my life I can't spend the time with a Boxer like they need. And being in the Army I never know when I'll have to leave. But I'am going to keep up dated on your site so when I get out I can try to adopt a new BEST FREIND.

I have to tell you that Beanie-Marie (named after Marie Osmond), the puppy I am fostering, is just the true definition of a survivor. With all of her ailments, she plows through life, playing, eating well, sleeping a lot! She is a true joy and I am thankful to you for entrusting her to me. Thank you for all the fantastic work you do and for your dedication.

I am a volunteer at our local dog park and would love to set aside several weekends at the park to show off boxers in need of a home. in addition to the dogs being able to play, I thought we could section off a few areas for private meetings. we could promote the events with posters and pictures of dogs that are going to be at the event. I am also open to helping at existing , just let me know.

I will continue to watch what you guys have. I have never adopted a doggie before and am not sure which way I want to go yet...a puppie or an adoption. What is the paperwork like? I just recently lost my Boxer Gracie to cardio disease. She was about 10 and she came from the HOBO rescue in Denver Colorado. I had her for 4 1/2 years and I feel she saved my life and sanity.

I found your site because I am looking to adopt another boxer in need of a home. None could ever replace Gracie, she was an incredible, special dog and friend. But my heart has room for a new love. Thank you for your great web site. I would like to join the Boxer Rescue.

We are actually looking for a puppy, but thought we would look you up and see if we could actually adopt a boxer. Our living situation is we have a daughter (17 tomorrow) and three small children with a 2 pound female Chihuahua named Katey. Katey has lived with 100 pund golden retriever male, who is moving with oour oldest daughter this week. We need a dog who will not eat Katey for lunch and also be good with the children.

Unfortunately, I may have to find a home for my baby because I am relocating and am having difficulty finding a place where I can have him. Thanks to all the Boxer rescues for doing such wonderful work for such a wonderful breed.

I have encouraged many people to look into your adoption program, and am happy to report that the owners of these adopted dogs are very pleased. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Just a short note to say how much I enjoyed reading about how people love their dogs. My husband and I are proud owners of a brindle male Boxer named Drake. There is no words to describe how deep our love is for this dog.He is our life. We could never give back to him what he has given to my husband and me in pure devotion and love. Nice to see others feel the same way we do. Keep up the good work saving these special dogs.

greetings to a one and all at boxer rescue- we are the proud owners of a dog, you wonderful people saved, and we adopted. you would rember her as sammy, we had to change her name to bonnie. she was adopted in 1997, and has been a wonderful addition to our family. she instinctly adopted our 3year son as her pup, and knew her job was for protection, and play. we have been considering getting her a male friend (a clyde). i work nights so someone is usally always home, and we have a huge yard, and live minutes from both dog beach, and dog park in huntington beach, which are bonnies favorite jaunts. sachi seems to be a good canditate, however our concern is what if he dosent intergrate, well then what? i would hate to adopt and then have regrets, or problems, but isnt that better then not adopting at all? a new male boxer, may work out great but if not is there a policy on how this would be handled. please let us know at your conveince. thank you for your time. thank you for all the hard work you put in, last but not least thank you for bonnie (aka sammy) she is a joy. sincerly the gatlin family

We are the proud owners of an albino boxer. She is very special for many reasons. The first being that normally albino boxers are euthanised at birth. The reason I was given for this horrible fate is that they are "bad breading stock". With a little coaxing I was able to adopt this lovely creature. Our Molly is now the love of our lives. She is our daughters best friend. They play together and sleep together. On many occasions I have found them laying with their arms wrapped around each other. Although alot of hard work and training was needed every minute of it\ was well worth it. We also have a Rottweiller and the two are amazing together. Everyone should always remember that Albino boxers may look a little strange and may not have "show quality" markings but they are just as wonderful. Thank you for letting me share my story about our friend "Molly".

When choosing a dog I researched many different breeds, but the boxer was the most endearing. They are excellent dogs that love human companionship. I bought my boxer from a breeder when she was only eight weeks old. Now that I found your website and realize that there were boxers that needed homes, I regret not adopting. I will definitely keep you in mind when adding a new addition into our family. sincerely, Rachel Rains

About 2 years ago my wife and I wanted to get a dog for our kids. We had always heard about boxers and how good they were with kids. We decided to contact an area Boxer rescue volunteer. The Area dog pound gave us the number to Rachel Layne in Lowell, AR. I called and inquired with her, She told me she had just got a young female that seemed real sweet. I took my kids to meet her and we all fell in love with Sugar right away. I told Rachel that we had to have this beautiful pup. We took her home and started getting aquainted with Sugar. The next day the phone rang, when I answered it was Rachel asking if I might be interested in an older brindle male. I was a little bit leary at first because he appeared to have a broken leg. But when I went to meet him, he almost knocked me down trying to show me love and lick my face. I couldn't turn this big ole lover boy away. We took Famous Amos home that very day. Sugar and Amos have truly been a blessing to our family and I couldn't ask for better "kid" dogs. Thank You Boxer Rescue and Thank You Rachel Layne
