Just wanted to tell you to keep up the good work. We recently adopted a 6 year old boxer girl from our local humane society and are probably going to adopt another. They are wonderful pets and need help finding good homes. Organizations such as yours provide a second chance for some wonderful animals.
I think what you do is so wonderful. I have had many breeds of dogs growing up and now having my own home chose to own boxers. My male passed away in February but we still have our female. I would love another for my female but my husband is not ready yet. This type of breed is a wonderful family dog. I read about some of your dogs up for adoption and the one I have not stopped thinking about is where the owner turned his boxer because it was not obedient and therefore beat him. If you know boxers they are very active and will get a little bit crazy when left alone. My male acted like he was 1 year old his full 9 years of his life. I just wanted to Thank you for having this rescue because I hate to see any dog not taken care of and especially the breed I love. Please, keep up the great and caring work.
Thank you
Tami Sanchez
Saw Julie's (Tyson) story and update and there's further update as of this past year. She has gotten into a familar routine, sits at the door to be let out, runs off the porch to scare off the boogie men and goes to the barn to help feed the horses, loves her rawhide "chewies" and even lays down with the "cat". Last summer we went horse camping and Julie and Caeser went along. She had great fun sleeping in the trailer in her bed and the long walks around camp. We are planning on going again soon this summer, Julie and Casaer will be going along with us. When I take Julie and Casaer into the pet stores, people ooh and aah, and I always tell them to look into your sight to see the wonderful boxers.Thank you again for the wonderful work you do.
We adopted a boxer,"Cassi" 15 months ago. What a wonderful experience. She has been a great addition to our family. I have heard in the past that you can tell if your pet is considered a "Family Member", if your pet is inculded in your photo albums. Well she not only appears in our photo albums but was inculded in our Christmas Card along side our two lovely daughters. Thank You for all your hard work and dedication with this wonderful breed of dog. Thank You Jim&Pat Cosentino PS. I am a cerified welder with my own welding machine. If you need some metal work done I will charge you only for the material, I will donate my time and talent.
Would just like to know if the update & photo I sent last week was received,as "Tia's update" that is currently on your web site is the one we sent last year. Tia & our other boxer Buck are loving Ireland & all the new experiences. We live in the country so both dogs are getting their first taste of country life including all the animals(sheep, cows, horses etc). Thanks again to all of you for helping us pick out such a wonderful companion for Buck. She has been an absolute joy & such a little lady at times I laugh! I truly hope that all the rest of the boxers are as lucky as she. Thank you all & keep up the wonderful work, Debra Rupp
I have come to know the Boxer breed thru my son who owns a 2 year old male Boxer that I have TOTALLY fallen in love with. I have 2 dogs of my own, do Lab Rescue work, but I am nuts about his Boxer. Would like to be kept on the info list -- our Lab, who is 15 years old, probably wont be around for a whole lot longer and adopting a Boxer would be a desirable situation for me. Thank you.
Your site is absolutely amazing! God bless you for all of your hard and wonderful work. Boxers are God's little angels... of course I have a boxer, Mackoy. He is a true joy in our lives, and he is forever surprising us with so much love. Mackoy has an amazing personality.. some would say he has a little bit of an "attitude problem".. but that's because he "knows" he's a member of a wonderful breed! Once again, continued success with all you do. Boxer lovers, like myself, thank you for all of the work you do.

Five yeas ago I came to Boxer Rescue in search of a pet. Instead, I ended bringing home what ended up becoming my instant best friend. "Buster" has touched many hearts, and continues to warm mine with his sweet and funny personality. I only hope more people can find out about the rescue, because there are a lot of little angels just waiting for a good home to protect.
I adopted a female (#3093) from you last July. She's come quite along way, gained weight, received training, and behavior modification. She goes with me everywhere. I take her to dog parks and she loves playing with the other dogs so much that she forgets that I exist. However, being the alpha that she is, her agression and dominance gets embarassing. Once she starts growling while nipping and mouthing the necks of younger, smaller and more submissive dogs, I make her leave. Will she outgrow this? She is 2 years +. Nevertheless, I adore her but feel that I can't adopt another boxer while she exhibits these behaviors. I had thought of being a foster parent for homeless boxers, training them as I have Roxy, so they would less likely be returned for behavior problems. (It is my theory that boxers are abandoned because owners don't understand the breed and the training necessary for getting them to reach their potential as fantastic companions.) What other options are there for helping boxer rescue?
In Loving Memory of Ms.CoCo Noverber 1992 - August 21, 2001: CoCo was a Beautiful Lady, (Brindle/ with Big Brown Eyes). For the past 8 years she was part of my life. With my sons gone off to college, I was home alone. But along came Ms.CoCo, who turned my life around. We watched many Sunsets together lying in front of the fireplace, event took long walks in the rain. But On Tuesday August 21, 2001, Ms.CoCo was called home. My youngest son and I, were there as she took her Last breath. We softly whispered we love you so much. Boxers are the best dogs. She was my best friend! I didn't think it would be so hard to let go, but everyday when I get home I find myself looking for her. I will see my Best Friend Soon,
