I haven't had a boxer in my family for a long time. I grew up with them and miss having their child-like expressions and playfullness around. My first boxer, Libby, was adopted by my parents as a puppy when I was about 1 year old. Libby and I grew up together. To this day I have not had another dog like Libby; she was gentle, loyal, smart, playful and goofy. She always thought she was a lap dog. (This is probably because I loved to wrestle with her.) I am visiting this site in hopes to find a boxer to invite into my family once again. It is time.
Great website, I found this site because I am looking for a Boxer for my family. I grew up with them and they are wonderful dogs. My neighbors just adopted a male fawn, which prompted me to look for a boxer that needs a home and family to love vs starting out with a puppy. Keep up the great job!

I think that your company is amazing. Our dog, Dixie Peach, was rescued from the Boxer Rescue. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me! She such a beautiful dog that everywhere we go people are commenting about her. We love her so much. My sister is moving out of the house and she is taking Dixie with her. We are going to get another dog from the Boxer Rescue. I don't think I will ever buy one again!
I love boxers and where I live to find a Reputable Boxer Breeder is almost impossible. But still this has not detered me, I will eventually own my very own Boxer, and that day will be heaven for me. I just can't say enough about the wonderful hearts you all have for doing the caring work you do. You are all truly angels on earth. I love Picasso, he looks like royalty. I have a beautiful fawn female boxer named "Selena" I would like information on when is the perfect time to breed her. I have a 14 month old white boxer i love her to pieces she is the funnyest little thing ever.
i adopted a dog from you in november of 2003. she is the best dog i have ever had. she is playful when need be yet she knows how to lie down and relax. i just wanted to say thank you for giving me the joy of this dog. when we got her she had a terrible case of mange that was just starting to clear up. now all that is left of that is abad memory because she is now ofically mange free. her name was lanie (or something like that) when we got her, her new name is amber though. thank you ursula.

I just recently lost my mother and then 2 day's later lost one of my dog's that
was a rescue to salmon posioning and the same night my boxer/pit/mastiff mix
disappeared. I still have her father who is boxer/pit mix, thank God. He just
turned 14 in Jan. Found your site while looking for another boxer mix rescue
online. I have owned either pure bred boxers or boxer mixes for over 15 years

My boxer Kc, was diagnosed with cancer near her nose. She slowly stopped eating.
She wouldn't even eat canned food with steak! Today on March 6, 2005, she is bad
today. I think it's time to let her go. I will miss her SO much! I love Kc, so

I think the boxer retreat is so sweet and fulfilling idea. I rescued my boxer
from the l.b pound. I never realized the unconditional love you receive from a
boxer. your boxer, buddy you have on this site looks just like my Jada,with
natural tail and floppy ears.It's very true looking for the perfect dog you
might pass up a jewel without the patience and love. Jada was a handful,hard to
potty train, just when I was about to ring her neck for going on the carpet
after being outside for an hour and doing nothing. I read a book how to potty
train your boxer, and put paper down instead of the puppy pads it was like
magic. I love her like i would my own child. It's been a year now since we
adopted her from the pound and I can't imagine my life without her. my furkid.

We adopted Buster about 8 years ago, large dog with cut ears that flopped down
on his head. Big head. Fell in love with him the moment I saw him. He was more
than just a pet, he was a faimily member. He was always there waiting for me
when I got home. Always willing to listen to my problems and give me sound
advice. Ready in an instant to go outside and play. Always standing guard,
protecting me, Angie and the kids. He lived a long and happy life. He passed
away on Feb 26,05. We will miss him dearly. So, good bye buddy, we'll all miss

Where is your shelter located; close to long beach? There are a couple of dogs
in which I'm interested (based on picture/description). A couple of things to
consider about me/my situation: I live on the beach and have a(1100 sq ft) one
bedroom home; unfortunately, I do not have a yard and I work fulltime. I would
be able to spend time with my dog in the mornings, afternoons and weekends, but
not much during weekdays. I have looked into doggie daycare and found the cost
to be prohibitive. I would love to have a companion/dog that will not be
destructive in my house while I'm gone; I don't feel comfortable crating a dog
for 8+ hours, five days a week ... I wouldn't like that for myself, so I
wouldn't want to impose that on my dog either. I like the description and look
of first: Oren and then: Rex; is there a chance that either of them would be
available for foster care (test-drive) before official adoption took place?
