We are looking for a dog. Both of us like what we have seen in the boxer dog. But, we are taking our time and researching various breeds at this time. Please keep me updated on your group!

Dear Ursula, Joni, and all! Just wanted to give you all an update on the boys, Foster Freeze and Harley D. All the hounds (Jolly included) are getting along much better with one another since we've been in obedience class. The boys only scuffle if there are dog treats involved, so I'm very careful about separating everyone before indulging them in bisquits or raw hide chewies. Unfortunately, Foster and I had to drop out of intermediate obedience after he crashed through a window trying to protect our house from the evil meter reader. He lacerated his leg but has fully recovered thanks to the skill of our vet. We'll be reenrolling in the class this fall. Harley is doing very well. When I brought him home last December, he was a scant 65 lbs. He's now topping the scales at 80! That boy LOVES his food! He's now on a diet to lose a few pounds, which will be better for his joints. He's on a daily regime to help with arthritis and is spunky and sparky as ever. His colitis is completely under control. Harley's had a couple of minor siezures (when he gets overly excited) and our vet, Dr. Michaelson, is monitoring that with us. Harley continues to be one of the quirkiest dogs I've ever known. He does a funky jump-n-spin dance when it's time for breakfast and dinner. The other day while bringing in groceries, he got into one of the bags, pulled a bag of tomatoes and ate every single one (five in total) in the time it took me to carry in the second load of bags. I've posted a few pictures of the gang which you can view at the following URL. I'll post others as I take them. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/merryann33/album?.dir=/7d7f&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/merryann33 Thanks again for all of your hard work and for giving me the chance to give two very deserving Boxer's a happy and comfortable home. MaryAnn

I just wanted to comment on your web site. I currently own a 1yr old white boxer who I could not love any more than I do. The lady I purchased him from was trying to push me out the door with him, rather than taking one of the fawn puppies. She said if you take the "little puppy" (who i did not see yet) I will pay for a vet visit and all shots for the first year. Of course, my first question was whats wrong him? he is just small and well see for yourself, was her answer. I immediately fell in love with him.I took the dog and told thanks for the offer But I think I will take responsiblity myself. I have been a vet tech for 10 years, one of the vets I work for always hunts out white boxers because of what people think of them. I want to thank you for what you do to gods most special breed of dog. It truly takes a dog lover to love the white boxer.thank you.

I read the story about Jackson, who looks just like the Boxer I had for 11 years. He passed away in February of this year and had lung cancer. I think these dogs are proned to tumors and cancer unfortunately. I kept my dog very healthy. My vet says I was lucky to have him as long as I did. I know so many people that are losing them earlier 8 & 9 years. Jackson looks like the Boxer I had and it is still very painful. Your story really brought back all of the emotions of losing my dog. Keep up the good work. I love to see the pictures and am always looking at your website.

I am working on a webpage for my White Boxer, Zoe, and I wanted to find links to other webpages that had information about the white boxer in hopes to educate people about the white boxer. I will add this site to my list, if you don't mind. Great website.

My candles are lit and I'm trying to find a peaceful calm place in my mind. I had to place to rest my beautiful Brutus after months of a difficult battle with Lyphnoma. Brutus was brave, rarely sharing his pain, and always trying to be there as part of the family. When he couldn't, we were with him, giving him water, food and even sleeping with him. We got Brutus 4 years ago from you. Skinny, fearful and almost a dog. I would pick up a broom or garden hose and he would run trying to find a place to hide, urinating all the way. Our first attempt at a walk around the block stopped at the end of our lawn as he folded his front legs in and buried his head in the grass. Riding in the car the first time, I had to get both my older sons to lift him up and try to get him in the back set but that was a struggle since he would spread his legs apart and arch is back. Being probably abused by a male before we adopted him, I would have friends over (only males by the way) and the moment they would move their arms, he would lunge at them. The only one he really bit was the phoneman but he as usually understanding (thank goodness). It took us almost a year of lots of love, patience and a new couch for Brutus to learn that no one would ever hear him again. We had 4 beautiful, loving, fun years with him. His were the first eyes a would see every morning, and the last I would see at night. I visited your website to ease the pain of our loss. I thank you for that. Reading of loss, of love and of the need of other dogs...I look forward to adopting again. Thank you for all the devotion you and your staff give to these wonderful, special creatures.

I enjoyed everything you said about boxers I have an english boxer and he is everything that you described. Champ is his name and he is my best friend. I look forward to seeing him every day. Even when I'm down in the dumps he just finds a way to make me laugh. Champ is very playful.
