We adopted LILA a white boxer two weeks ago she had that had been in your care for two months, the kids have renamed her LEELA. We couldn't have asked for a better doggie to be around our small children!!!:) Lila will let my kids do almost anything to her, from playing dress up with Kyla - hanging beads around her neck, a purse off of her stubbie little tail & a crown on her head to a kick back buddie while watching Barney. She is just starting to come out of her shell and is becoming playful. Loves a game of chase around the back yard with Caleb or loves to play with a ball with Bryce- we haven't found a ball that she can not pop as of yet, but we are looking! We have tried to make her feel loved and as secure as we can, she gets lots of hugs and kisses all day long. I'm thinking that she is starting to feel like this is her home because she has taken over my couch and my older sons bed. Leela sleeps with Caleb every night - he wouldn't have it any other way! She is a great dog, friend and a playmate. She is a blessing to our family, we couldn't have asked for a better pet. :) Thanks Boxer Rescue for saving Leela from the Animal Shelter you found her in and putting her together with our family!
I have admired your organization for a long time. I currently have a 13YO boxer, along with two other rescues. I am looking forward to the time when I can adopt from your group. I have refered many people to your group when they say they want boxers and they have all been happy with their acquisitons. Keep up the good work!
DEAR BRLA:THIS PAST SUMMER I ASSISTED A FRIEND IN CARING FOR HER BOXER(BRUTUS)WHILE HE RECOVERED FROM KNEE SURGERY.DURING THOSE DIFFICULT THREE MONTHS I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE BREED.IT WAS HEARTWRENCHING GIVING BRUTUS UP.NOW I'M CONSIDERING GETTING MY OWN BRUTUS.

Hello, I am currently looking for a Boxer puppy and would love to rescue one. Can you please let me know if he is still available. Thanks, Lesley Oldham
i fink you are grate because you look after animals and it is good how you tern animals from bad to brilient
Thank you for all you do and God bless you for your strength and compassion, sheltering these wonderful beloved boxers...It is totally heartbreaking to see all of these poor, sweet, innocent boxers put in this position because of selfish, uncompassionate human beings.
WE loved Tazzy and have known him since he came to live with Leilani and Rick. He will be missed! Bob and Colleen Dawes
Taz is my daughter's boy..so he was my grandson..what a honey...oh and how he loved to eat. We miss you and know that you are in your MaMa's loving paws...love you, Gramma Linda
Boxer-rescue.la does an admireable job !
What a wonderful site. It's very comforting to know that an organization like this exists to help save these loving dogs. We were very lucky that a great couple (Rick & Leilani Laca) were willing to care for our boxer (Tazzy). Leilani nursed Tazzy back to good health after his mommy died. And for that I will be forever greatful to this amazing woman. She gave Taz a quality of life like no other. Just recently his time had come to an end. I know he was loved dearly by so many people and we will miss him terribly. I thank all of you that help out these boxers in need. It makes me smile knowing that Boxer Rescue L.A. is doing all they can to give these dogs another chance at finding a loving family to care for them. May good things come to all of you who offer to help in any way you can.
Lovely web site. It's really wonderful that there are people in this world who have the passion to maintain a facility for finding dogs a place to live. Way to Go
My father and I adopted Lucy a female boxer that we figured was about a year old in the summer of 1991 from Ursula. I am extremely proud to say that Lucy is now approximately 14 years young and hanging in there. I've dubbed her my little trooper. She really is quite remarkable. She had a cancerous tumor removed about 2 years ago (that gave me quite a scare). Since then she's had a couple of minor surgeries, but refuses to give up. Her arthritis acts up a little on occasion, but for the most part she is still very active (she goes on 3 walks a day). She's "talking" to me right now which usually means it't time for another walk. Thank you, Ursula! You've blessed me w/ my sweet puppy.
Your boxers are so cute. We are interested and will keep visiting your web site. Thank you, Terry Lee

Reunions at the Bridge [Author Unknown] The young pup and the older dog lay on shaded sweet grass watching the reunions. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, sometimes a whole family would approach the Rainbow Bridge, be greeted by their loving pets and cross the bridge together. The young pup playfully nipped at the older one. "Look! Something wonderful is happening!" The older dog stood up and barked, "Quickly. Get over to the path." "But that's not my owner," whined the pup, but he did as he was told. Thousands of pets surged forward as a figure in white walked on the path toward the bridge. As the glowing figure passed each animal, that animal bowed its head in love and respect. The figure finally approached the bridge, and was met by a menagerie of joyous animals. Together, they all walked over the bridge and disappeared. The young pup was still in awe. "Was that an angel?" he whispered. "No, son." The older dog replied. "That was more than an angel. That was a person who worked rescue." How true is this poem. We all say how much we care but when do we make or find time to give to Rescues so please if you can't give your time give a donation to help the people who do find the time. Thank you Boxer Rescue LA what a great job you do!!
I want BRLA to know what wonderful people you are. The write up on the adoptables are so cute. It makes me cry to look at the seniors page. Who could give up one of those little gray faces? I look forward to the day when I am finally done with school and will have time to be a stay at home mom to a boxer or two (or three perhaps).
I have been researching Boxers a lot. I find them to be a perfect mix of all the qualities I have loved in my dogs. I have never surrendered a pet but, in the last two years I have returned two large mixed breeds to the Lord. I had them from puppies and they lived 15 years each. I currently have a dearly loved ShihTzu who is 15 and I have promised her that she can be the grand dame of the house as long as she find happiness here. I will always need the love of a canine companion at my side all throughout the day. When the time comes, I know that I would love to have a boxer at my side, in my lap and in my heart.
We have a 9 year old white Boxer that has been the best dog in the world! He is healthy and active!! He has been great with our 8 year old daughter and 19 month old son! We would absolutely love to adopt another Boxer at some point in time! Thanks for all you do!

Thank you for being there to rescue boxers. Our boxer holds a special place in our hearts. She was barely seven years old when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was with us for ten months after that during which time we spoiled her rotten, fed her table scraps, and let her be overweight and happy. She was a joy and a blessing to our children and us until the day she died. Always as happy as she could muster, always looking out for her family. Your work with Boxers has been an inspiration and a comfort during this difficult time. Keep up the good work! Thanks for Boxer Rescue...... Tom & Debbie Nelson
Do you have any pictures of Cleo, we bought her off Sue. She died about 5 months ago i thought she would have been on the in memeory of... Stacey

Hi guys, you inspire me. I have been involved in rescue for quite a few years now and its getting harder and harder here in Ireland. We don't the laws protecting the animals and with over 20,000 dogs put to sleep in our pounds every year I don't know how I keep going but I do somehow. I have two boxers of my own Buffy (flashy red & white)a 3 yr old rescue and Willow (white) a year old rescue too. I foster, hand rear, transport and have a fulltime job but I love what I do and thats why I am going to set up Boxer Rescue here, any tips you can give me for getting fosters organised etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys Karen
I have a white boxer and i love he to bits. xx
I have a white boxer too and she is actually crazy she has a toy called her "baby" and she shakes it about and it STINKS!!!!!!!!!!YUCK
I've had three Boxers and still have two. Sadly my rescued male named Joe Boxer had to be put down (renal failer) this past Easter Sunday. I now rescued a 8 month old female that was to be put down if any broken bones were found. Needless to say she had many. The vet that I work for wouldn't put her to sleep so I took over her care. I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one out there that is a sucker for those sad boxer eyes.
I Love to come to this website! My Boxer Roxxy died on Oct. 1, 2004, and seeing all the boxers make me smile and cry, but it makes me think of my Roxxy and brings back lots of wonderful memories I have of her. She was the sweetest goofyiest boxer around. I absoutley adored her. She was my first born. I miss her sooo much... I will be looking into rescueing a boxer. BOXERS HAVE MY HEART!!!!!
i love boxers, i have a female named Mia i love her so much. i just thought you should know that what you are doing is a wonderful thing
I HAVE A FEMALE BRINDLE BOXER... THAT I LOVE!! SHE HAS BROUGHT SO MUCH JOY TO ME AND MY FAMILY!! SHE IS MY BABY...
Just loged on to look at the available boxer to adopt. I have always wanted a boxer and am now doing research to ensure that I get the right one, so we can share a long life together. I am 25 and have one roommate (that has a cat). We are active individuals who want a dog to take to the beach and long walks, but also settle in for night time movie.
Please either learn how to use Photoshop or stop altering the pictures of the dogs. What's the point of rendering the pictures 'hard to look at'? I can't get a good idea of what any of the dogs actually look like. Less is more
I love dogs and boxers and i just love how we have a program to help boxers!!!
I LOVE Boxers, and will soon be on the look out for a new Boxer to join our family. Just lost my 12.5-year-old Zack to cancer; he died in our arms, on his favorite blanket, on the living room floor of our home. Although it took the vet four attempts to find a good vein, Zack, as always, was very calm and so good -- always made things easy for us, even at the very end. I love and miss my son. His (adopted) sister needs a new sibling, and we'll be looking soon. Thank you for the wonderful work you do!
Great site, I love Boxers, I own a Dachshund and I just love dogs!
I really think you guys have a BIG Heart for doing what you do by helping these animals in finding a home.I have a Boxer of my own and i love her to death i dont know what i would do if she was in that situation.I will let people know about your websites so these lovley dogs and pups could have a home where they could be loved.
We have one boxer from the Humane Society and one from Boxer Rescue Ontario. They have brought much joy and laughter to our house. Please, if you want a dog, rescue one. They need you.
I have one of your dogs. Bless you all
Just wanted you guys to know that the work you do is fantastic. My husband and I are looking at homes now and half our excitement is that we are planning to adopt as soon as we have our own house! Hopefully we'll have a yard large enough for us to foster as well. If you need volunteers at the kennel I'd love to help :) Your efforts are all greatly needed and appreciated. Keep it up!
I have lost my Boxer and would like to know how to post it on the internet. Because I think tht you are the closest boxer rescue foundation that can contact.
Our family is anxiously awaiting on your response to our application. We are really intrested in learning more about and possibly rescuing Hemmi. We visited your tent at the LaBrea Tarpits animal auction and were very excited to see the fellas. Please contact us soon, as we look foward to an early christmas present!
I have had boxers all my life 3 years ago I lost my 16 year old companion crystal she was the best dog in the world. I currently have lucky and he is 7 years old he also misses crystal. I will soon finish school and I will be ready to adopt i can't wait.
Weel, basically the main reason for wich I'm writting to you guys, is because I'm been wondering if you dont have any pictures of Kasin now that he has been adopted.I also want to know how is he doing.
Hey, Ilove this website you've got. This is somewhere I'd Always come. I have A question though. My Boxer/Border Collie lives in her cage in the back yard. She's 16 weeks. The babies in the house only 5 months, and my families too scared to risk that? What shall I do in this situation? Please help me. Also, Can you send me a picture of a 16 week old Boxer, because my boxer looks too small for to be 16 weeks.

Hi! We have a 8 month old white boxer boy and i swear he's the greatest dog in the world.. We love him to death and we'd like to adopt a female whitey somewhere around his age for him to grow up with.. I was also wondering if you have any stickers/magnets to support adoption.. Thank you for all you do. --Jason & Jessica
I grew up in a houshold with 3 boxers. The first one we got was hit by a car at 6 months and had to have a pin put in his back leg. So he had a limp. I am LOL at remembering how us children tought Bosco how to jump the fence....OH this dog was so happy flying over this 4ft fence. We really got in trouble from our parents. This boy was our favorite and slept with us... I am 63 yrs old and still remember Bosco. What a dog...friend..companion and he loved our food (that we snuck him)..the other 2 boxers were with my mother all the time. Bosco was a playmate.. We dressed him up .. he was in our army or what ever. Never a mean bone in his body. He died at 10 yrs old of cancer. Still missed!!!
I have a friend in NoCA who adopted a boxer from a woman named Cindy who supposedly gets some of her dogs from you. As observed by my friend, the dogs are poorly treated, she was very upset. Do you know about this?
I rescued a brindle boxer two years ago and got to know the breed well. She (Cassie) came with health and behavior challenges butI kept her as there was just 'something about her' - I lost Cassie one month ago - she was hit by a car. She was not street smart - was left in a yard for the first 5 years of her life. I miss her so much - she was a sweet sweet dog - my grandaughter (5)and Cassie had a love affair so she is grieving also. Cassie had a wonderful life with me thank god - at least the last couple of years of her life was pretty great:) I want to adopt a boxer but I need to give myself time - or do I?? Thanks for listening.
love your web site !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I have never had a dog before but I have been around many. In June my husband and I got our first boxer, Bruno. Bruno is the love of my life...second to my husband of course. He brings me joy each day when I come home from work and see that wagging tail. He has been a great dog and is getting better each day. I would love to adopt another boxer so Bruno has a friend to play with while we are at work but my husband is a little reluctant. Regardless, I know I am biased but I think that boxers are the best!!! Thank you for all of the wonderful work you do placing boxers into loving homes. Maybe one day I will be the lucky recipiant of one of the dogs that you care for.
Loved your website. Keep up the great work! I would love to volunteer with any services that are needed...please contact me.
i love the boxer that i got. she was named laani when we got her and she was recovering from mange. she is the first boxer we have owned and she is a great dog. thank you ursula for everything. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!
I have had Conan and Sonya for over a year now and I cannot tell you how much happiness they have brought me. They were raised together and Boxer Rescue wanted them to stay together. They were older (just like me) and when I saw their pictures on the Web site, I knew they were the ones for me. I didn't change their names, since they had had them them for 6 six years. They are well behaved, gentle and loving and will play for hours with my grandsons. I can't express my gratitude to these two loving dogs and to the wonderful volunteers at Boxer Rescue - please consider adoption and don't be afraid to look at the older ones or the pairs - they are often house broken, trained and well behaved. I love my boxers!
My husband and I adopted Hogan in August, He was a "special needs" dog because of a thyroid condition. We originally went to boxer rescue to adopt a puppy, but decided to look at older dogs. Jan, a volunteer at the rescue, was very patient with us and paired us with Hogan. He is the best thing that ever happened to my husband and I. We have been married for almost a year when we adopted Hogan. He is such a great dog and is now "spoiled". He takes great care of us and is very protective of us when I walk him. We love him very dearly and are now looking into adopting a female to give him a companion.
Just wanted to read some new happy endings. I adopted Murphy (I think his name used to be Duke) from BRLA two years ago and he has been the best addition to my life. I love reading about other people that have had the opportunity for the same "happy ending".
Just heard about your organization. I have a boxer to give up and I'm very relieved to know that there's a good chance she'll go to a caring home. Thanks very much for the work that you do.
I am always looking at the dogs in the rescues. I have one boxer and I am looking for another one for my female to play with. This is a really great way to help the dogs in need.
