Love the improvements you've made to the website (photos, descriptions, etc.)! Yours is the best boxer rescue site I've seen. It makes me want to take in another with my 8 yr old brindle, Maggie Mae. My family adopted 2 boxers from BRLA with lots of success. You guys are great!
boxers are beautiful dogs. Can you get me more info I have 3 kids two are older but one is 6 years old are boxers a good breed for smaller kids? Thanks, Jeff
Such a cute story!
On Saturday morning (1/3/04) we lost our 5 month old Boxer, "Buster" to H.O.D (hypertropic osteodystrophy. I've been researching all I can on Boxer's, as we grew to love Buster's temperment and affection.
I called your phone line about adopting a boxer and heard a familiar voice on the phone. Suddenly I realized, "That sounds like Elaine Boozler." I remember hearing about her involvement in the boxer rescue group. I've had four boxers over the years and I've never come across a more loving, devoted breed. You're all doing a wonderful job and I'd like to know if I can offer some time to help. Thanks. Ray
We recently acquired a young nuetered male that has a Boxer Rescue tag #4558, on his collar, any information on this dog would be greatly appreciated. We would also like you to know that he has now found a permanant home with us, everyday he learns alittle more about being loved and cared for and has actually started to play and behave like a normal well adjusted dog. Please help us with any history behind mystery of this shy but loving young dog so that we may help him in any way that we can.
I came across the boxer rescue websites while researching Boxers in general. I was planning to purchase a puppy in the near future and wanted to prepare in advance and do all the right things by my new addition to the family. but, after seeing the photos and reading the stories, I have since changed my mind about getting a new puppy here and now wish to adopt. But, I am running into the obstacle of not being able to adopt as there are no boxer Rescues in Montana. It seems most states have requirements that they only adopt within their own states. I totally understand this (for home inspections before & after adoptions and for meeting potential new dog parents) but I am convinced that there is a boxer out there who needs me and could be happy & live a fullfilling life with me here in Montana. I am amazed at your website and am so glad you're doing this. I especially like reading the "happy endings" stories. It has all strengthened my decision that adoption is the perfect & right choice.
A couple fo years ago I adopted one of the dogs from your Rescue. The girl I adopted was Ginger. I got her from one of the Foster mothers who lived at Northern Ave. Ginger has been a blessing for us. We also have a white boxer named Ceasar. Ginger and Ceasar get a long very well. We have a doberman also. She has been sick for the last 2 and 1/2 years. We got Ginger so Ceasar would have a friend when Tava left us. Tava is still with us and she loves Ginger also. We were told that Ginger was given up because she was destuctive. She has not been destructive at all. Ginger is very happy with us and her new home. Thanks for letting us take her home.
great site ok
I think what you are doing is absolutely wonderful. Keep up the good work.
I found your web-site in hopes of finding information about how long a white boxer lives. I have a white boxer that I purchased when she was six weeks old and she fit in my hand. She is now 6 yrs old and within the past 12 months she has started to have major skin issues. First all along her underside and now allover. We have tried pills, creams and shampoos and nothing seems to work. I want to know if this is a sign that she might be leaving us shortly. I hope not for she has been the best dog I have ever had. She has never harmed any of my three children and they do adore her so. My son was 2yrs old when we got her so she grew used to being pulled on and poked at. My third child is 8 months old and she can do anything to her and my dog just lays there and enjoys her company. She has been like a babysitter for my kids. I would appretiate any informatin you might have to give. Thank You, The Westbrooks
Really looking forward to having a boxer!
I am Interested in rescuing a boxer. I currently Have a 9 month old female Boxer that is in need of a mentor. I would love to find out more information about your adoptions. thank-you, Ruben

My husband and I have been unable to agree on the breed of dog we should add to our family (he wanted a Golden Retriever and I wanted a Great Dane) but after viewing you web site, we have agreed that one of your Boxers would be the perfect companion for us and our young daughter. I cant wait till we can go to LA to meet those wonderfull pooches!
What a wonderful website you maintain. Thank you for all of your dedication. There is a special place for you in heaven.
I have been singing the praises of this wonderful breed and first time adoption for two years now. I have heard people have had difficulty finding the website or phone info. Is there any way to register with more search engines? More access more adoptions more wonderful homes for boxers. I love and admire the breed and the fantastic work and accomplishments of your organization. sincerely, Ian Duncan

We are interested in finding a boxer puppy for our family. Our previous dog passed away a few years ago and this past Christmas we visited my sister's home who had a boxer. The dog was amazing with our ten year old son, even though she was never around kids. Even though I was raised around so many breeds of dogs I never knew much about a boxer, but now I think the breed is tremendous for families with children.
We adopted our beautiful Boxer when he was 18 months old, he is now 9 and is still our baby!!! (we're also sure he still thinks he's a baby!!} I love all dogs but my favorite is definately the Boxer, they are so loving, loyal, great fun and ooooohhhh just look at that face!!!
I am looking for a SMALL female boxer as a playmate for my 31/2 year old boy (fixed). He came from a rescue himself and I would love to open my home to another boxer girl. I have always been an Austrailan Shepard person but since I brought Tyson home I have made the switch to this sweet lovable breed. I feel like I have a shadow everywhere I go. Tyson's house playmate (english bulldog) is moving out on February 1st and I don't want him to be alone with know one to play with during the day while I am at work. I met Elaine B. at the Pet Expo a few years ago and was really impressed with the organization so I hope I can find Tyson a sweety and give a little girl a good home. Thanks, Lynne
I adopted a boxer about 8 years ago. I lost my beloved Buster last Thanksgiving. I miss him very much. My sister told me you now have this website, so I came to have a look. I now have 3 cats so I must be caring of them when getting another dog. Please let me know if you get any puppies or a dog that will get along with my cats.
I have a male harlequin boxer, about 8 years old. I would love to breed him once, but I do not have his papers, he was taken from an abusive home. He is my constant companion since my husband died. Keep up you good work.
Keep up he wonderful work with these amazing dogs. Bless You!
I love this site. I visit frequently. At this time I live in an apartment. We are looking to move into a house. When we get settled I definately will be looking into rescueing a Boxer. They are the most beautiful and fun dogs.
Hello, I've been visiting your site on several occassions to simply puruse through the boxers you have. I was a boxer owner to two wonderful dogs, Baxter & Bailey. I had both of them for about 5-6 years. My family and I recently relocated back to Southern California from Colorado. Before the move, sadly, I had to find Baxter & Bailey new homes. We were going to be living with family for about 6 months and wasn't able to keep the dogs there. They found a great family who had children as well and was able to take both of them together! Anyway, it's been a year since we've been back and bought a home last summer. Some great things that I miss about Baxter and Bailey is their LOVE for water!!! Now, we have a pool and I always tell my wife how much the two of them would have loved to be in it! Baxter was a "performer." I took them often to a dog park in Colorado that had a stream nearby. Baxter would take FLYING LEAPS right off the edge of the bank into the water! People, loved to watch him do his performance and the smiles and laughs never seemed to stop. Bailey was the sweetheart of the family. When we brought my daughter home from the hospital, I set my wife and baby down on the couch, Bailey walked over, smelled my daughter and literally laid right down on my wife's feet and DID NOT move. As soon as Baxter came over, she let him "know" that he wouldn't have access for awhile. Honestly, it was a beautiful thing to watch. As my daughter grew older, I'll tell you, we had NO fears whatsoever with either of the dogs being around my daughter. I'm hoping that we can someday soon find a boxer to bring back into our family and building new memories. I've considered other breeds, but hands down, I don't think they're is any other breed that can match the love, devotion, caring and ahum, STAMINA of a boxer! They truely are "TOP DOG!" Sincerely, Cliff
I had my first boxer when I was 2 yrs. old. After that, we have had two others. All of our boxers lived a long life, and were always part of the family. We now have a 6 yr.old male, and is the love of our life. He is always there with his love, kisses, kindness, devotion, etc. He goes on vacation with us no matter what..loves kids, from his 2 1/2 yr.nephew, his 10yr. old Godson, & his 25yr. old brother..That's a "Boxer." I love your web-site..all of you have done such a great job for our favorite "friend"..May God Bless you all, and keep up the great work. If anyone can donate to help them out, please do so.
i found your site very interesting, and the information you give about the dogs is very good, even though i am not planning to adopt a dog. i hope you put more on the site. by the way the dogs profiles are soooo cute!

I have had boxers for many years and they have all been wonderful !!! In Memory of Roxy Belt 1992-2002 Our flashy brindle beauty, who gave us so much joy and love. You were rough and tough, and your life was your family and of course your food. Oh! how you loved to eat! You were a wonderful guard, but loving and kind to those you knew. You were funny and you liked to play and make us laugh and you could out snore the best of them. What a sweetheart you were. When you were 8 1/2 you were diagnosed with a brain tumor. We tried every option, but it didn't work. February 2002 I had to make the decision to put you to sleep. I could not let you suffer anymore. So my heart broke as I said "goodbye" and kissed you for the last time. All of us that loved you were so proud to have had you in our lives. You are missed my "special dark" Roxy. Love, Mom, Dad, Lisa, Lee, Lauren, Jenna, Mickey and Mojo xxxxxxxx
