We already have four boxers in our family...Savo (dad), Destiny (mom), Pinky and Gotti (the "big" babies). I don't know if you can ever have too many boxers. Looking at all the dogs available for adoption makes me want to run out and add another to our family. To anyone considering an adoption...BOXERS ARE THE BEST!!!
It's think it's great that kind hearted people like yourselves take in these lovable animals. It's so sad to hear about some of their pasts, but it's wonderful that their future will be full of love and honor, that's what these dogs deserve. I myself have a deep love for boxers. I have had boxers ever since I can remember and I hope to adopt another one very soon. I hope that you will be able to send me some information on boxers around my hometown, Pittsburgh,PA. I would greatly appriciate it. Thanks.
Iam a current boxer owner for 8 months now. I have a brindle and white male named Ace. I am looking to adopt him a buddy around 6 months to a year and a half old. Ace is 8 months with tons of energy we go to the dog park around the corner and he enjoys the other boxers the best. Any information, please send to my e-mail. Thanks.
I check your site every day to see the new dogs and I print out the pictures and paste them in my scrap book. Thanks!
I am interested in becoming a puppy boxer owner in a few months. I currently live in a townhouse that has no yard. I am in escrow for buying a home with a big backyard. I have 3 boys - 7; 4; and 1 year old. What is the boxer's general mood or attitude toward children? Is there a small or minature version type of boxer?
Thanks, Steve Smith
Have been around dogs of all breeds for my complete life; I am a dedicated dog lover. Have had the pleasure of getting to know a co-worker's boxer from his puppyhood, and can honestly say that they are a truly amazing breed (at least he is an amazing dog).
I now understand the uniqueness of the breed, and the dedication of boxer owners.
I'd like to know more about how I can adopt a boxer here in Texas. I've been on the watch at the pound.
Our 19 month old son says puppy every time he sees a dog, so we decided to get one. My husband was raised with a boxer, named Bouncer, and has had nothing but adoration for the breed since then. When my husband and I were living together, he had to leave his boxer Rudy with his parents, and they fell instantly in love with him. I think we will enjoy a new member of the family, and I don't feel uncomfortable about owning a boxer because I know he/she will take care of my family when needed. I think this website is outstanding and I want to congratulate you guys on a job well done. Not many people know that boxers are wonderful pets, even I thought they were mean. But being around Rudy has changed my attitude completely. Thank you, thank you!
I seen Ms Bosler on the Donny and Marie show and thought it is great what she is doing for the boxers. My sister used to raise them, so I am going to give her your address and maybe she would like to get involved. Thanks
We love boxers and we had one in the past named swaboda. Unfortunately, shortly after we got him he was stricken with the mange so severely that he had to be put down. Since then our other dog a boston terrier named mr bogus does nothing but grieve. They were buddies to the end. Now, everytime Bogus sees another boxer he begins to wimper. It is very sad. So for Bogus and ourselves, we are looking forward to opening our home to another boxer. Hopefully one from your program. Thanks for all you do for this lovely and gentle breed of dog. Sincerely, Alygia
We would be interested in contacting a local boxer rescue organization. We are from Ohio
Boxers are a wonderful and fun breed, I just wish I could own a bizillion!
I have a boxer ,it's name is Roxy .I love my dog!
I was wondering if there is anyway to set up a rescue in utah, or how I can help in anyway. A donation will be coming soon. Daizy my boxer bullmastif says hello. She came from a family who were selling there pups for $150.00 I thought is was a lot but I saw her face and could not resist. She is the cutest ever and we would like to find her a friend. She loves my mom and dad's dogs. Female albino boxer...Mugsy and Zues the boxer lab. Anyway if you ever stop by in utah give me a call if I can help out.
Sincerely, Courtney Chidester
I heard about your organization on Donny & Marie. My Brother living in CA. recently lost a boxer after being a part of his life for over 17 years. He has yet to replace his friend but maybe he will check out your organization as I have sent your web page address to him. Hooray for a great cause! With continued respect and appreciation for all the good work you do to get these wonderful dogs adopted into loving homes,
Sharon Sabin pet lover :)
I am so thankful that you are there for these lovely animals. I'm going to tell my daughter about you. Last year, just 1 day before her marriage in Phoinex Ar. her boxer (Sedona) ran out in front of a truck and was killed. It broke all of our hearts, especially Mike & Natalie. She was such a lover, I called her "The Brown Rocket" because she used to run all over my back yard. My wife and I cried alot. My son in law just sat by the curb and cried and all I could do was just to sit with him and put my arm around him. He's one of my greatest assests, he is my friend. God bless you. Hope you hear from these kids soon.
i love box.er
We adopted Mugsy from your rescue about four years ago. Mugsy is a white boxer who is now up to 100 pounds. He was just 6 months old then. He has matured into quite an animal. Everywhere we go he is noticed. Everyone is always asking "What kind of dog is that" because of his size. We always answer "he's a boxer" and they always reply, "that's a big boxer." Yes, Mugsy stands out at 100lbs of pure muscle. He has one brindle ear and has what looks like black eyeliner under his eyes. I couldn't imagine life without him. We are hoping to add another boxer to our family in the future. Mugsy is four years old now and could use a friend to teach and cuddle and play with. Hopefully we'll be contacting you soon for a new family member. I would like to know if you'll be at the Los Alamitos Adoption Fair this year and when the dates are. We brought Mugsy by the Fair 2 years ago and we'd like to show you what a wonderful boy he has matured into and maybe we can bring home a brother or sister for him. Thanks again for rescuing him for us. We couldn't imagine our lives without him.
I was shocked to hear about the boxer rescue because every since I was a little kid all I wanted was Two matching tan and black boxers but my mom could'nt find them at a reasonable price. So as I got older and more responsible I got a pitbull puppy from my cousin's pitbull litter. Now I have 2 pitbulls and they are not vicious at all. I would love to adopt a boxer if there's a boxer rescue near me.
My husband loves boxers. We have a 8 month old pup. He would like to see about possibly adopting a boxer if it's at all possible.
We had a boxer that got killed by a pack of dogs. His name was Tucker Brown and he was part of the family. When he died a part of us died with him. I appreciate your love for boxers. It helps ease the pain.
We came up to theadoption center in Sun Valley (75 miles each way from home) and adopted a faun female that has just filled the empty spot in our harts. You see,We lost out 17 month old puppy three weeks prior. Any way, this was the first time that i had met turk. Turk seemed to be a real problem child, he was pulling ursela from the inside of the house to the outside of the house and I thought that she was not going to get the door open first. Well I ask ursela if I could take Turk for a walk, and of corse she said that I could. Well we started out with him trying to pull me! and much to his suprise he could not pull this 6`6" 287# man. when we came back to the adoption center, Turk was not pulling anymore, he was walking by my left leg where he belonged. Ursela could not believe what she was seeing. She ask me to come back the next weekend and work with the dog.I said that I could not drive the 150 miles a day to work with the dog. So we agreed that the dog will come and live with me and my other half (and diamond our other boxer) and I will train Turk. So on 5/13/2000 I came back to the adoption center to pick up Turk. While I was there, a gentelman and his children were bringing back a dog naed Jake. He said that the dog was not able to be trained. I ask how long that he had the dog and he said that he had only had the dog for 30 days. I told him never to buy a horse because it can take anywhere from 1 year to ayear and a half befor a horse will start to trust you. I ask the man if I could take the dog for a walk and he agreed to let me take jake for a walk. Well the dog does VERY WELL, So we talked about the dog andthat he might take the dog to obedience school, that way he will know how to ask the dog to do something, it will also let the dog get to know him and bond with the man. Turk is doing very well, the dog and I will be going to obedience school starting the last week of June. I would say to every person that adopts a dog to call your local park and recreation dist. to check on a dog training classes. If you ask them, they usually give a big discount to people that rescue a dog. thank you for your time. Ron Jenkins
I really like boxers and I think this a great thing.
I love boxer rescue I think they do a lot for lost and unwanted boxer's keep up the good work.
I had 3 boxers. One died unexpectedly about 2 weeks ago, her name was Annie. My neighbor found her & thought she was one of mine. Annie was in pretty bad shape(thin & dehydrated). I took her to the vet & got all shots(they estimated she had been on the run for 3-6 weeks). I put adds in the paper & tried to find her owner for a month. After the month was up, I just had to keep her.
She was part of our family for 2 years & I loved her very much.
I really enjoyed looking at the dogs you have available. They make me remember her & what a sweetheart she was.
Just wanted to thank your organization for the good work you do.
Through a series of small miracles we were blessed with the arrival of Glory, who we believe to be a boxer, at Christmas 1999. We got her from the local pound hours before she was due to be transferred to the research department of WSU Veterinary clinic. I cannot describe the joy and love that she has brought to our family. The thought that this amazing animal was nearly destroyed breaks my heart and the thought that there are countless others just like her out there.... Since she adopted us we have learned how many there are and have decided to adopt another if possible. If any one knows of a male in the Eastern Washington area that needs a loving home please contact me.
I love looking at your website. Just lost my male boxer. He was almost 13 years old and got cancer. We had to put him to sleep a few days ago. We are devastated. Looking for a puppie to adopt (female brown). Let me know if you get some puppies. Lou Martherus.
When I lost my Sheeba girl I thought I would never feel love again and look at her only survivor my squeeker puppy "Spoiler" as a terrible reminder of the one thing I thought I would never see again. We had to put her to sleep for she was suffering severely from seizures. Time went by and all everyone ever talked about was how brave I was for trying everything to keep her going and the dedication I gave to my girl. I still even now a days miss her with all of heart and still cry much for her loss of a wonderful life. I started seeing my Spoiler going down hill from his mother being gone. I brought many dogs into my home just to find them to be just to mean to him and he was becoming more and more afraid. I went online in search for help in healing my broken heart and help for my puppy. Within a day i had an e-mail about a white boxer which I prefered. I called and spoke with ursula about an appointment and how to make sure she the boxer would get along with my puppy and was told to bring him with us. With all the love in the world Sammie ie... my new boxer had to offer I was still timid of her at first for fear something would be wrong with her healthwise also her first vet visit revealed the opposite and she is my girl. She takes wonderful care of Spoiler. She has the most wonderful kisses and is so very well behaved that i couldn't believe how lucky I was to recieve such a wonderful gift of wiggles, waggles and slobbers. Thank You so Much Boxer Rescue of L.A. I never thought that I would adopt a dog BOY WAS I WRONG and in this case very glad to be wrong. Sammie is and always will be my new girl. Thank you for leting me share some of my feelings about you all little pieces of heaven right here on earth. Kimberly
i enjoyed reading all of your information on boxers. i have a 4 month old male that is absolutely beautiful they are the perfect pet for children.i've had boxers before, and i just can't seem to change to anything else thanks again,i will continue to read your articles.
We adopted our Boxer "Buddy" from the LA Boxer Rescue. I am so happy that we decided to adopt a dog rather than get a puppy from a breeder. Sure I would have loved to see Buddy as a puppy, (I'm sure that he was an adorable little guy)but you couldn't ask for a better dog than our Buddy. He is always happy, upbeat and cuddly. He loves every person and dog he meets. Buddy makes friends everywhere he goes. We feel very blessed to have him as a member of our family.
Thank you Boxer Resuce!!
Janice, Mike, Ron, Randi and Buddy Burgett
We have a very large redwood dog house that is modular for easy transporting. I have talked to Ursula about it. Please call at your earliest convenience.
Just loved your updates on the rescued boxers. Will try and find a similar program here or in Sydney. Keep up the fantastic work.
i was looking at the 7 months boxer her name is bessie i think thats who you spell it anyway how is she around cats and do you have any youger dogsthat like cats?

i am sending my greating to anybody, who loves boxers as much as the boxer owner can do. You spend your time to visit these sites for lost or hurt boxers so you must love them. I am very sad now and although I have some people around me I feel like I have nobody to talk to. Ten years I have got my golden boxer Eric, he is all I have because I have almost given up everything else since I got him. He is my only interest half a brother because i am the only "child", half my kid. He is probably diing now. I say probably, because we have maybe a few months to make him stay until is sure that the tumor on the bone is.... I have no vocabulary here but you know what I mean. We thought that his pain when he walks is bad but we havenīt know yet. But every year we take him on his holiday, it is everytime made for him an we wanted to know, whether he can absolve it or not. In a half night we went to a clinic and few minutes later saw the rentgen... Eric was so happy like he never was ill, he jumped and "kissed" the veterinarians. He is always so nice. And I canīt look to his eyes thinking how much time we have together. I canīt stop crying, canīt work. I would be so glad to find anyone who has passed this through to share his memories and experiemces with me or anyone who wants to say something nice to my dear Eric. And if noone would write us, it doesnīt matter, I just thank the people like you, who just red it an who watch these sites for poor unhappy pets and maybe rescue some. Thank you for reading
Great WEB SITE! This is a wonderful thing you guys are doing for all these beautiful Boxers!
I saw you on an early morning tv show, thats how I found out about you. I sure at glad to see someone is looking out for these great dogs. We have a boxer her name is sandy and she's 9 months old she's great we just love her.WE are thinking about getting a maleso she will have some conpanionship. I mean besides us I mean another dog. I sure was sorry to read that you don't place dogs outside of your area. I know calf is a big state but seem like you could help so many more find homes if you were willing to send them out of state. even if the person adopting would be willing to pay half the shipping. Just think how many more you could save.Anyway thanks for your sight I really loved the pictures of the dogs.
Glad to have found your Web site. I admire the work you are doing for those adorable Boxers. I filled out an adoption form. Maybe I can provide a good home for one of your Boxers, I sure hope so.
Hi, Over the years I have had 5 boxers I think this is a great site. And that all the volounteers that help to save these great dogs are terific!
Seeing that i live in Michigan but own two adorable boxers i woould like to help, is there anything going on in Michigan that i could help with? Also seeing as how i am a poor college student my donations would be slim, but i still would like to do my part somehow!!
I just think the work you do is wonderful and you committment is commendable. I have 2 boxers, 1 is a rescue dog. Boxers are especially wonderful and I couldn't imagine life without them.
The new site looks awesome!!!
I really would love to adopt a boxer from you guys....i heard a whole lot of positive things about your society. Thanks for existing, i would like to fill another one of your applications for adoption. Ursula had said my first on had computer trouble and wasn't able to be looked at. Could you e-mail me one please! I'm trying to get one by my birthday which is on July 02. Hope to hear from you guys soon! thanks for being you!
Just want to say you guys are GREAT!!! Look forward to seeing the Donny & Marie show on Friday June 2nd. We adopted a little boxer girl from you two years ago. We're happy to say that she is well loved!!! Her name is Scooby and is the sweetest little thing!!! Thanks for everything!!!
