Hi All at Boxer Rescue LA,

 

We wanted to check in and give you a quick update on our girl Xena (adopted on 8/5/06).  We truly can't believe our good fortune that she found her way into our lives...what a treasure she is!  As I am writing this, she is lying under my desk staring up at me with those big, soulful brown eyes.  She took a week or so to settle in and to seemingly understand that this was truly a forever place.  She is now totally bonded with our two children and follows them all around our 5 acres.  Wherever they are, she wants to be.  She sleeps in my daughter's bedroom each night and has become such a part of our family that we can't imagine life without her.  She gets along fine with our horses and has not even attempted to eat our barn cat...what a plus!

 

Xena has far surpassed what we expected in terms of ease of transition into our lives.  Any fears we might have had about how a grown dog would be able to adjust to a new situation have been put to rest permanently.  We recommend your organization to people all the time when they inquire about Xena.  She is such a good ambassador for BRLA!
