HAPPY
ENDINGS: SQUIGGS

The day I went to Boxer Rescue
LA, I told myself, "Rich, you are only going to visit
and take a look at what kind of organization this is. You
are NOT going to bring a dog home today". Well, it didn't
quite work out that way. After giving a BRLA volunteer some
specifics of the dog I wanted, she brought out Roscoe. I had
to immediately remind myself "Rich, stay strong on your
conviction". Unfortunately, Roscoe won me over in about
two seconds. I knew he was the dog for me and I didn't want
anyone else to have him. He is a beautiful dog with perfect
coloring, and an amazing personality.
Being in a new environment, it
took Roscoe a little while to feel comfortable with his new
home and me. However, within only a few days, he was a natural
member of my one-person family. It only took him two days
to be house broken and hasn't had an accident since. I never
knew how devoted he would be to me until I realized that no
matter where I went, he would follow (even into the bathroom.)
Now he can't wait tell I come home from work and we can go
to the park. He wag's his tail so much, that his body twists
and turns in a squiggly nature. (Thus the name, "Squiggs")
He loves chasing squirrels and has become an expert tree climber.
I never knew Boxers could leap like antelope! He is also incredibly
patient and gentle with everyone he plays with, even when
we are rough housing, his favorite.
He has even found a new best friend, Goliath, my sister's
pug. They have become bosom buddies. He let's Goliath jump
all over him, all the while his Boxer tail is going full speed.
I would recommend that everyone
visit Boxer Rescue LA and the dog's they have. One word of
warning: like it or not, you'll probably go home with a Boxer.
Thanks ,
Rich Neel
