Hi Boxer Rescue,
I wanted to thank you for helping us find Sadie and Riggs
(aka "Bishop"). They are so loved. I think that
they are maybe both a little spoiled, but are both the sweetest
dogs ever. After my last boxer passed away, I wasn't sure
that I wanted another one. When we went to Boxer Rescue LA,
I was ready to leave without taking one home since I still
was not over the loss of my girl. I wanted to see if I bonded
with a dog since my little dog at home was completely devastated
over the loss and I wasn't sure if he could make it alone.
So we went and looked, but I was initially not struck with
anyone. My boyfriend, however, found one dog that he promised
he would not leave. I didn't hear it, but after we played
with four or more dogs and I was ready to go home, he went
back to her crate and said "but I promised her I wouldn't
leave her". Since then, he has never left her side, and
since then either have I. She is our baby girl and she is
sleeping by my side now as I write this. Her brother came
to us afterwards as he was adopted separately but oddly right
down the road, and then again through our cousin. He does
not live with us, but only a block away. How fortunate for
them, they get to see each other weekly.
