HAPPY ENDINGS: Rocky

My name is Adriana Rafferty and my husbands name is Scott.
We have adopted a couple of boxers from your wonderful organization.
We recently adopted a white boxer mix named Hurley which we named
Rocky Balboa because my husband loves the (Rocky)  movies, and it
was either Rocky or Elvis....needless to say, Rocky won. 

We adopted him in July of 2006.  He was not posted on the web-site because I was
desperate for a white boxer and the one we wanted ended up being adopted which
was great for her but sad for us.  Two days after finding out Malorie
was adopted I got an email from Janet W. telling us about Hurley.  I
saw his picture and fell in love instantly.  I knew he was my dog.  My
husband and I hurried out to the Rescue and I mean hurried...when we
arrived I saw Ursula and some of the volunteers with a lot of
interested people and my heart sank because I thought for sure my Hurley was gone.

So I asked one of the wonderful volunteers  if Hurley was still there
and she said she would check...and out came my  Hurley!!!!!!!!!! I knew
it was meant to be the minute he looked at me.  It has been 5 months
and a couple of surgeries later he is the best dog in the world. 

We don't really  know his story or why he was turned in to the shelter.
He is an obedient and loving dog and extremely gentle with my daughter Lauryn
who is 4 years old.  They are the best of friends.  We just wanted to tell
you how grateful and happy we are because of you all.
