Phew!  What a summer!

Losing your ten year old Rottwiler/Doberman is bad enough. Driving far to Boxer Rescue L.A. isn't always easy either. Having to return a dog you've adopted after one week is very hard too! You get so attached but want to do what is best for your own pets, family and the dog you've adopted. Going back another time, and then just one more time  and getting our Munster (looks just like Herman Munster---forehead-feet and all!) and treating his kennel cough was worth it.

Our dog Gretel is a very dominant female boxer, small as she is! So we had to find just the right male Boxer. We wanted BIG but gentle. And submissive! Well as you can tell by the picture of Munster and Gretel playing, she must really love him! She would never let another dog do that! Munster is soooo sweet and soooo eager to please. Even when he is naughty! He's torn up some of the yard, brought things into the house (mostly flowers and orange peels off the tree) and things out of the house, such as vases, remotes and phones! We really didn't realize just how much "puppy" he was because he is so big! He craves attention and loves to be in our laps which we do try to discourage as he's too heavy to push off! (don't want him smothering Grandma!)

We would say to anyone--if you're thinking of adopting a dog from Boxer Rescue they do a great job of matching! They have so many dogs there. . Talk to Ursula, she has special INTUITION which is what we prayed for! We had Candi Mitchell scouting all over that place for us just because she cared! A special thanks goes to her for trying so hard to find us a right match! And her care and concern after the adoptions and the e-mails she has sent truly helped! Boxers can be a labor of love. They love attention and are rambunctious.

Once you own a Boxer you'll never want another breed! We would recommend B.R.L.A. to anyone! This is my second great dog from Ursula and I would never get one from a breeder again. There are so many beautiful dogs   you just want to take them all home! You can look and look and THINK you know what you want.......but....you may come home with a different color than you thought, or size, or age! It doesn't matter as long as you have a sweet dog needing a good home and we know we got one and wouldn't trade him in for ANYTHING! Thank you Boxer Rescue of L.A! Your TEAM and their dedication is amazing! Your "Boxer Pools" and other "ideas"  and your timely answers to our needs will always be appreciated!
