HAPPY ENDINGS: Milo & Blue

I just wanted to give you an update on Milo (formerly Blue). He is doing absolutely fantastic! We were able to get through housetraining issues and we're working on a few other things with him, but nothing major. Basic Boxer stuff like not jumping on people, the usual basic boxer stuff I never bothered to train my older Boxer not to do.

We're doing an obedience class with him and hopefully we'll be able to move on to an agility class, if he likes it. Maybe that will help him build some confidence and help us continue to find ways to communicate with him. He's a really smart boy, so I can't imagine he'll have any trouble picking up on the commands and the trainer seemed interested in working with a deaf dog.

He also gets along really well with other dogs. We take him to doggie daycare a couple times a week when Alex has to go out of town or just to give him some playtime with his doggie friends and he gets along great with all the other dogs there. He's a favorite of the staff.

I just wanted to let you know how much we love him and that to thank you for bringing him out to show us that day. We get such a kick out of watching him tear around and play with his toys or watching the way he watches things (TV, the computer, people) which we attribute to him being deaf, and of course we love to cuddle with him. We were a little naive about the whole rescue dog experience, but thanks for your patience to help us learn and a special thanks to K9-Joe for his advice as well. You guys do an amazing job with all of those dogs.
