It
has almost been a year since Jiffy came into our life. When
we went to the shelter to just look we immediately fell for
Jiffy's sweet face. We were told that she didn't get along
with other dogs and they did not know how she was with cats.
Since we had an old house cat that was set in her ways, I
was a little nervous. Once Jiffy got home she immediately
adapted to the human family but we had to separate the two
animals until they got used to each other. It only took a
few weeks and they were fine. I wouldn't say they are best
friends but they will tolerate each other.
We were able to teach her new commands along with the ones
she already knew. She is very smart and even though she is
older dog, she still has a puppy's mentality. At this point
she is completely spoiled with sleeping on the bed (or wherever
she wants), getting treats, and going on long walks. We are
very lucky to have such great dog!
