I just wanted to give you an update on the wonderful dog that you allowed me to adopt in Oct of 2006. I know that I was a crazy person in the beginning and emailing you and Haze for help for a couple of weeks. I knew deep down in my heart that this guy was way too special to give up on and it was my job to make it work. Not an easy task with the 4 cats and the two little girls that also live here. Some people said that a condo was not the place for such a big guy (including my other half) but Garth and I proved them wrong. He has adapted well. We all run in the morning and do short bike rides and he is great. Weekends are extra special with a trip to my friend’s big back yard! With your suggestion of Joe Ramirez the trainer I got a lot of great help with his socialization issues and I am continuing the training with a local trainer. Poor guy, it was me and not him with the problem! Anyway, now that I am not treating him like my little lap dogs, we are getting along fine. I only wish I had room for more of your dogs here!
He travels very well too! Mom and I went overnight to Visalia and spent a couple days up north and visited my brother who has 3 boxers of various ages. After an initial altercation, he was fine. We still have some work to do but I truly believe that this was meant to be. If my little girls were as will trained as he was, now that would be a miracle! At one point I was looking at puppies and I am so happy I did not go that route. I could not be happier.
Anyway, for anyone looking for puppies or just unbeliveable companions, please consider BRLA. These animals are amazing and I will not consider any other breed from this day on. I still look on the website on a regular basis just in case…Yep I have the boxer bug!
