Dear
BRLA,
When
I first contacted BRLA I had an idea of the boxer I wanted.
A
floppy ear 1-3 year old fawn male. I never dreamed I would
leave with a
floppy ear 8 1/2 year old brindle female.
Upon
arriving at BRLA, Toni Faragalli asked me if I would consider
a
"loving senior"? I didn't want to appear difficult
so I said "OK". In my
mind I was thinking, "let's get this over with so I can
see what I came
here to see".
The
second "loving senior" I met was Babbs. Toni came
out leading a
gray faced brindle female. I called Babbs to me and she eagerly
ran up
to me and buried her head in my chest and wiggled like crazy.
I said to
myself, "you sure audition well". I took her for
a walk. She behaved so
beautifully I had to take her home.
When
I got her home she quickly learned what was OK and not OK.
I
especially enjoy her responsiveness when I call her and/or
give her
directions. She is such a joy when it comes to meeting people.
She
greets them like long last friends. My friends are even volunteering
to
care for her when I travel. They encourage me to bring her
to their homes.
Toni,
I want to thank you so much for encouraging me to consider
a
"loving senior". I strongly recommend to any potential
adopter to give an
older boxer a chance to win their heart.
Babbs
and I are off to the Palm Desert Street Fair. Thanks again
for bringing Babbs into my life.
Yours
Respectfully,
Alberto
