I just had my first litter of pups on 2-10-05.There were 10 pups, 5 girls & 5
boys. Both of the parents are fawn/white.I think it is great that you guys are
dedicated enough to the breed to accept the responsibility of being a rescue
group.Good luck to all of you.Keep up the good work!

My family and I had fallen in love with our friends boxers "Bonnie and Clyde"
that we decided that we would like a boxer of our own. We went on
Boxer-la-rescue and saw all the wonderful dogs that were up for adoption. We
were contacted by some one there and were told of a 6 month old boxer mix that
was at the local shelter. My friend and I went down to the shelter and fell in
love with her. She was going to be "put down" that day if she was not adopted.
Apparently, she was mistaken for a pitbull and not a boxer mix. We adopted her
over two years ago and she has been the best dog ever! We love her soooo much
that when my husband was approached by a stranger GIVING away a pure bred boxer,
we took in the other male that he was giving away. He is only 4 months old but
we love him just as much (even though he chews EVERYTHING!!) and we have since
named him BEAST. We now have our female and males boxers Beauty and Beast.

I'm so very happy to see all the happy endings for so many beautiful Boxers and
Boxer mixes. My beloved Boxer died ten years ago after 11 wonderful years, she
too, was a rescue. A friend told me about her, that she was going to be put to
sleep for nasty behavoir. My daughter and I fell in love with her at first
sight. She was a changed dog after that, never a bad moment in all those years.
My grandchildren now have their own Boxer mix who is devoted to them and they to
her. Now that my husband and I are retired, we are ready to open our home and
hearts to another Boxer, maybe even two if I can talk him into it!

It is a VERY sad day in our household today. My 3-year old male fawn, Bailey,
died today of CHF and Cardiomyopathy. He was the absolute love of our lives,
especially mine as I was his "mamma". Everywhere I went, Bailey was always right
there next to me, leaning up against me or just watching me do laundry. I am so
devastated. I could never have imagined having such a wonderful animal have such
an impact on our lives. So loyal, so loving, so protective but yet gentle. We
love you Bailey!! See you again someday in heaven!

Hi, my name is Marty and I rescued a white deaf boxer last November. Her name is
Meka and she is a wonderful dog. I am going to take her for training this
summer, but I wanted to know what are some of the traditional hang signals that
are used. We have our own, but I would like to incorporate more universal hand
signs in her daily routine. If you could please e-mail I would really appreciate
it. Thank you very much. Marty Rubin

Your site is incredible! I just moved from a house with family (and a huge
dog, Lucy) to an itsy one bedroom apartment. I literally spend hours on your
site, and cannot wait until I have the space to offer one of your beautiful
boxers (or pseudo-boxer mixes). I simply cannot believe that so many people
would abandon these dogs...It just breaks my heart!

Rescuers Rainbow Bridge Poem
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw this on another forum and it brought tears to my eyes. Just thought I
would share in case is hasn't been posted here. Unlike most days at Rainbow
Bridge, this day dawned cold and gray, damp as a swamp and as dismal as could be
imagined. All of the recent arrivals had no idea what to think, as they had
never experienced a day like this before. But the animals who had been waiting
for their beloved people knew exactly what was going on and started to gather at
the pathway leading to The Bridge to watch. It wasn't long before an elderly
animal came into view, head hung low and tail dragging. The other animals, the
ones who had been there for a while, knew what his story was right away, for
they had seen this happen far too often. He approached slowly, obviously in
great emotional pain, but with no sign of injury or illness. Unlike all of the
other animals waiting at The Bridge, this animal had not been restored to youth
and made healthy and vigorous again. As he walked toward The Bridge, he watched
all of the other animals watching him. He knew he was out of place here and the
sooner he could cross over, the happier he would be. But, alas, as he approached
The Bridge, his way was barred by the appearance of an Angel who apologized, but
told him that he would not be able to pass. Only those animals who were with
their people could pass over Rainbow Bridge. With no place else to turn to, the
elderly animal turned towards the fields before The Bridge and saw a group of
other animals like himself, also elderly and infirm. They weren't playing, but
rather simply lying on the green grass, forlornly staring out at the pathway
leading to The Bridge. And so, he took his place among them, watching the
pathway and waiting. One of the newest arrivals at The Bridge didn't understand
what he had just witnessed and asked one of the animals that had been there for
a while to explain it to him. You see, that poor animal was a rescue. He was
turned in to rescue just as you see him now, an older animal with his fur
graying and his eyes clouding. He never made it out of rescue and passed on with
only the love of his rescuer to comfort him as he left his earthly existence.
Because he had no family to give his love to, he has no one to escort him across
The Bridge. The first animal thought about this for a minute and then asked, "So
what will happen now?" As he was about to receive his answer, the clouds
suddenly parted and the gloom lifted. Approaching The Bridge could be seen a
single person and among the older animals, a whole group was suddenly bathed in
a golden light and they were all young and healthy again, just as they were in
the prime of life. "Watch, and see" said the second animal. A second group of
animals from those waiting came to the pathway and bowed low as the person
neared. At each bowed head, the person offered a pat on the head or a scratch
behind the ears. The newly restored animals fell into line and followed him
towards The Bridge. They all crossed The Bridge together. "What happened?" "That
was a rescuer." The animals you saw bowing in respect were those who found new
homes because of his work. They will cross when their new families arrive. Those
you saw restored were those who never found homes. When a rescuer arrives, they
are allowed to perform one, final act of rescue. They are allowed to escort
those poor animals that they couldn't place on earth, across The Rainbow Bridge.
"I think I like rescuers," said the first animal. "So does GOD," was the reply.

I owe you so much, you have given me the best gift ever. I adopted my "buddy"
almost two years ago, he was the goofiest one. He has brought us so much
happiness, my(old)gold lab is no longer referred to as "fat butt", he has
brought so much life back into her, she actually plays instead of lays all day.
My boy's would be lost without our "big bad buddy butt" also known as "shaky
butt". He always welcomes us home with love. Although he hasn't learned that the
food in the fridge is our, not his, and he needs to stay out of it, Yes, ladies
and genltemen, he opens the fridge, but, he is nice enough to leave it open so
the other two dogs can help themselves as well. Isn't he considerate. Pizza
doesn't stand a chance, I had a childproof lock on the fridge door, but, he
figured out how to break it, he is sooo smart. I love him so much, I owe you so
much, he is the best dog ever!!! Keep up the great work, you are so appreciated
here.

DEAREST LELAINI, I CANNOT FIND THE WORDS TO EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE THE
