FUNDRAISING
FOR BOXER RESCUE LOS ANGELES
An organization
is only as strong as the volunteers who support it.
You
don’t have to be a famous celebrity or rock star hosting
a fabulous benefit to make a difference in an abandoned
boxers life. But if you are one or know one, we welcome
your help whole heartily!
Our core volunteers work hard on planning our major fundraising
events which provide us with critical funding. A wise woman
once said “It takes a village”. The more people
we have helping BRLA, the more boxers we can help. This
is where you come in.
By expanding
our fundraising efforts to you, our grass roots supporters,
we increase exposure to our organization and potential new
funding. This is accomplished by simply opening the door
to opportunity by hosting a fundraising event benefiting
BRLA.
Of course
we always appreciate your donations, and could not operate
without them. See our donations page for ways to donate
and or sponsor dogs. You can turn your wish of helping BRLA
into a reality by introducing a few more people to our cause,
imagine the wonderful results.
You
can involve:
- You friends & family
- Your church
- Your school or class
- Your club
- Your office or corporation
- Your community
The possibilities are only limited to your imagination.
You
can host or organize a number of easy fundraisers which
would help fund our efforts to save Boxer lives. BRLA provides
you with the basic marketing tools and ideas to get your
very own fundraiser benefiting BRLA off the ground. Feel
free to be as creative as you like in coming up with your
own fundraising event benefiting BRLA.
Each
suggested event has templates for flyers which you customize
for your specific event. You can download BRLA brochures
to distribute at your event so that your guests understand
exactly what Boxer Rescue is all about. You will find all
event templates and BRLA flyer on the Fundraising 101 section
below.

A
Few Fundraising Event Ideas:
1.
A BRLA Party
You
could invite all your friends, family and neighbors over
for a pot luck, or cocktails & appetizers or desserts
& coffee. Get everyone together, let everyone know how
you feel about helping BRLA and collect tax deductible donations.
We provide an easy to edit invitation you can mail or email
out and BRLA marketing collateral to share with your guests.
You could have our website up and running at the party to
show some of our Boxers to your guests.
2.
A BRLA night at your local eatery.
Many
community restaurants will participate in a one night fundraiser
which invites supporters of a cause to come in and eat at
their establishment and a percentage of the nights profits
will be donated. This is a win-win as the restaurant gets
added exposure and clients and BRLA would get a percentage
of the nights profits. All you have to do is ask. Restaurants
like Islands participate frequently in programs like this:
3.
A BRLA Rummage Sale
Everyone
could benefit from a good spring cleaning every once in
awhile. Gather together your old stuff; enlist friends or
neighbors to bring over their old stuff. Put up some signs
or place an add in your local free paper and watch your
old junk turn into new lives for BRLA Boxers.
4.
A BRLA Car Wash
How
fun, to get together some friends, some soap and water and
enlist a local service station or school to allow you to
use their facility. You can post flyers, make posters and
place an ad in a local free paper. You have fun, cars are
cleaned and boxers are saved.
5. A BRLA Bake Sale
Who
does not like cookies, cakes and homemade treats? You could
enlist your group to all bake something and sell it at a
local event or market. You could consider making both human
and canine baked goods for sale. You could also enlist people
who come to the sale to donate dog treats for the BRLA Boxers.
No
Brainer Fundraisers
There
are some things that require almost no effort on your part
but can mean the world of difference to Boxer Rescue orphans.
These ideas can be posted at work or school and you simply
reap the rewards and then pass them on to our boxers.
6.
Ink Cartridge and Cell Phone Drive
Don’t
throw away potential donations. Boxer Rescue LA can collect
and get compensation for all old inkjet ink cartridges and
cell phones. Simply collect them, box them and ship them
to Boxer Rescue at 17514 Ventura Blvd, Suite 201, Encino
CA 91316.
7.
Ralphs Community Program
Every
time you go to a Ralphs market and buy a carton of milk,
Ralphs will donate 5% of that purchase to BRLA when you
register your Ralps card. Yes, it is that simple, and Yes,
it does not cost anything. Simply get everyone you know
to sign up.
