Slugger is a young buck with great potential. He is just inexperienced in solid social skills. He is getting better in leaps and bounds working with our team, but for now being your only dog will help him continue to learn.  He is a big goofy guy with swinging Boxer jowls. He is good on a leash and good in public around other dogs. He just needs the up close and personal fine tuning an experienced owner can provide.

Slugger recently went on Fox TV Good Day LA. He spent the night at our volunteer's house and she was amazed how well behaved he was. It was like he had never been in a house before. He was suprised by the TV, suprised by the noises in an apartment complex and completely suprised by the sliding glass door. Well only once, he got it after one smash.

They went to PetCo and he was the perfect gentelman with everyone in the store. He was calm around children in the building and wonderful inside without one accident. He was reluctant to get up on the bed, but after much coaxing he was up and snoring away.

At Good Day LA, everyone including Food Network's Paula Dean were down on the floor loving on Slugger. He is an amazing boy. He was even find around other dog while our volunteer had him out (supervised and cautious of course).

Slugger may act like a knucklhead at our kennel, but this field trip showed his true colors and he is one awesome dog. Any family would be lucky to get our newest TV star. (see his video on our facebook page)
