Samson is one very special Boxer. He ended up at the East Valley shelter listed as 12 years old and in horrible condition. It looked like he had never seen a vet in his life. He had a large tumor on his penis. He was listed as Sam and his spirit sined through his rought exterior. We rescued him and partners joined in the effort to save him. After initial thoughs of him not having a chance, a specialist was confident his tumor could be removed completely. And it was. His bloodwork showed only a little anemia and infection. The biopsy of the removed tumor showed squamous cell carcinoma which can be aggressive or not. It's all up to Sam. Never judge a book by it's cover. Samson is doing great in a foster home. We think he is younger than the shelter thought which they based on his exterior condition. He is the most grateful and generous Boxer ever. He has shown us his love of all. He has been around cats, dogs, kids and is just happy to be around! Samson just needs love and kindness for the remainder of his life to make up for the years of neglect.
This distingued gent will make an easy fit into any home. He deserves the best for as long as he has waited for a home that will love him and engage him as a family member.
Samson is not at BRLA so please ask for him by name when scheduling your adoption appointment so logistics can be arranged.
