Kazaan is small and mighty with lots of energy. He loves to wiggle, kiss, pounce and play. Kazaan is currently being fostered in San Diego. He's not a fan of really loud noises and was having a tough time with dogs barking at the kennel. In his foster home, his personality is beginning to shine. Kazaan was a little nervous at first, but with the right guidance has been relaxing and settling in. It seems like his house access may have been restricted in his previous home as was initially shy about coming into the house, but is now finding that it can be a great place to hang out and get lots of love.
One of the things we first noticed about Kazaan is that he was likely taken out of a little early as he approaches humans to play much as one dog normally approaches another. He's sharing his foster home with 2 full-time Boxers and while he gets along with the other dogs, he just wants to be with his humans. We'd recommend that Kazaan be an only dog at first. He's almost like a child that skipped elementary school and missed out on the important social parts (it's not all just 1+1=2 that we learn then). He invites other dogs to play and doesn't know what to do when they really want to.
For such a little boy, Kazaan has a huge heart and lots of love to share. It shows in his little wiggle/dance he'll do in front of you while he looks back almost to say "look how cute I am, don't you want to pet me?"
He can play kind of rough so older kids would be best. If matching with another dog, one that is calmer to balance out his higher energy would be a good match. He will help you pick up the house a little too. If you leave shoes lying around, never fear...Kazaan is here. He doesn't chew them so much as just enjoys carrying them around.
Kazann will be shown at our Saturday OC PetCo events or by private appointment in Orange County . Please ask for him by name on your application if you are interested.
