Have you ever seen a cuter Boxer face? There is no doubt Herbie has a distinctive look that will have everyone talking. With those handsome good looks comes a sturdy and strong Boxer frame that really enjoys stepping out for a good long walk. Herbie is very focused on his handler, has fantastic leash skills, is eager to please and knows his basic commands so walking with him can be a real pleasure. The longer the walk, the happier Herbie is so he is looking for a confident pack leader with an active lifestyle to match his stride. Herbie does well with other dogs in public as long as they are not ill behaved. Herbie can come across as Mr. Serious when you first meet him, but as he opens up and gets to know you he freely gives kisses and shows his silly side.
Herbie is enrolled in the BRLA Mentor Program and the trainers working with him have shared some great progress. He has gone on several field trips to enjoy time away from the kennel setting and it was reported that he really enjoys car rides and is very well behaved as you tote him around. He also enjoys exploring new walking routes and will no doubt keep his new owner in tip top shape. It is also reported that he does well on pack walks with other calm dogs, walks well in public and enjoys getting a bath.
The Mentor Program was created to help Boxers like Herbie gain more confidence through the use of concentrated positive reinforcement training techniques.
