One look at this feisty boys’ ear, or lack of and you will get why he was named after the famous professional boxer. We don’t know how Evander lost part of his ear but it sure gives him character. He is a little guy but has a big personality. He loves people and is in the process of learning to love other dogs (we are happy with tolerating other dogs) . He has a pretty vigorous defense when around others and we feel he was not allowed to socialize with others. We are working on him and new owner can continue. He is cute as a button and as long as you have some skills and do not have a house full of dogs Evander could be the little dude for you. He is good on leash and eager to learn all his commands. The teaching process will be very helpful in honing his social skills as well. He is a champion in the making!

Fastforward: Evander has made great progress with both his leash skills and public tolerance around other dogs. The BRLA volunteers do great work. He has become quite the lap dog and laps up as much affection he can from TeamBRLA. This little guy has learned a lot and ready to learn more at home with the right family.
