Dexter looks to be a Boxer-Ridgeback mix. Or some kind of Boxer-hound mix. Actually anything is possible. He is a stately boy built for speed. He has those long legs, all the better to jump over hedges along side horses to chase those pesky foxes on a hunt.
He is great with people but not so great with other dogs. That would not work for the hound master on a hunt with a big pack but Dexter will hopefully learn. Our BRLA volunteers will start working with him to slowing ease him into being more comfortable around dogs. He has such a soulful face and he has no problem making direct eye contact with you. He is good on leash, and is treat driven so his basic commands are underway.
Dexter is a unique boy looking for a unique spot in life.
