This guy has a mercurial temperament and holds lots of tension inside which makes him unpredictable. He needs to be walked for long periods of time to drain his built-up frustration. An experienced dog psychologist, like Ceasar Millan, could provide a perfect home! For the rest of us, he needs someone with calm rock-solid pack leader skills, able to instantaneously figure out his triggers and snap him back to calm submission. He needs a gentle hand but is quick to take advantage if he feels weakness. Once he respects you, he loves you and tries to be a very good dog. He will sit, wait for his treats and is a very affectionate boxer. Chet would be a perfect dog for a professional trainer or animal psychologist to adopt and bring out the friendly inner boxer we all love about him. He likes other dogs, especially females, when properly introduced. |
